Ocean West Catering

Overall, we had a positive experience with Ocean West Catering at our wedding at UBC Boathouse in Richmond! The prices for the buffet were very adorable, making it an attractive option for couples on a budget. Guests complimented the food, noting the good variety of menu options. Both dinner and cocktail hour appetizers received praise for their taste and presentation. Dessert, while simple, offered a decent variety that catered to different preferences.

From the start, communication with Grace, the event coordinator, was excellent. Her prompt responses and attention to detail helped alleviate some of the typical wedding planning stress. They were able to provide additional bussing staff to help clear the tables and assist the wedding planner in setting up the space. In addition, we appreciated their willingness to accommodate last-minute changes, such as moving platters from the buffet to be served earlier during cocktail hour and another platter for dessert. This flexibility made the planning process go smoothly.

Worst caterers I have ever encountered. Non celiac friendly and actually spent 2 days on set violently ill because they did no t realize barley is an allergic. Everything comes from a box and is completely inedible.

Hired this company for my father in laws celebration of life last summer ( 2021) at crescent park . We organized an outdoor bbq. Company was on time food was delicious ! We had burgers and salad! Burger patties were fresh and handmade so extra juicy! The communication via email was fast… it was Grace that was helping me. She was great about getting back to me about allergies people had and she was very nice!! Everyone at the party loved their food and overall display

Our complex has been using Ocean West for our annual Xmas parties for the last 6 years. The food & service has always been 5 *. Their buffet selection is top notch.

Absolutely incredible service! I came into planning for my Wedding with a strict budget. Grace and Michael were more that happy to work within my budget and my theme. I am so incredibly thankful for their services and so happy with the results. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing. One guest even said they had been to 4 wedding this year and our catering was by far the best they had. Grace was able to answer all my questions when I had them with ease and made me worry and stress free. Thank you so very much for making my special day that much more amazing! Mike and his team ,at Ocean West catering, took care of our wedding reception. The consultation was thorough and Mike customized a buffet style set up based on our requests and budget. The food was incredible and the presentation outstanding! I would recommend Ocean West catering for the smallest dinner party to the largest wedding reception.We even used them for two funeral gatherings, and my daughters wedding reception. They are very professional .

Was going to use them for my wedding reception and they pulled out at for no reason. Horrible customer service. Said they would return deposit and is now not returning calls or emails. Sketchy from the start! would not recommend at all
