I primarily visited here due to the high reviews and wasn't disappointed. The sushi is outstanding, especially the black rock sushi and miso. What we ordered was more memorable than a lot of the sushi we get in Seattle. Service and location are great, too. I'll be back for more during my next visit to Canada.

Cozy n delish comfort food… interesting take on Japanese food… the tea for example, reminded me of Oksusu-cha or Korean style corn tea. The miso paste used in the soup and the teriyaki chicken sauce also have a distinct unique taste that I don’t usually found in Japanese food. Love the salmon aburi with a sliced of green chilli. All were delish. Can’t wait to try their other dishes ?

The quality and service has been very good in the last four years we have been to this restaurant. However, tonight….the food was top notch. The servers are extremely friendly and helpful….up and beyond to say the least.Takoyaki to die for. Tuna sashmi is so fresh and beautifully presented. Chopped scallop nigiri is fresh like the ocean. The unagi was the best. Thanks Sushi Wa ?

Tonight we had gyoza, gomae salad, BC roll, avo roll, and dynamite roll. Good take out service and the food was awesome. The BBQ salmon in the BC roll is fantastic. Way to go Sushi Iwa!

I wouldn't normally give a 5 on a first review, however, the food and service were so good.Bear in mind that this was off-season and I cannot speak to how good the service will be during the busy season.As I will be returning for sure I will update this review later.
