The Boathouse Restaurant

while we waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come. then we contacted the staff. we were told that our waiter went home and did not say anything about us. decide for yourself whether this is a good restaurant or not .
The food is terrible, the worst food I've ever eaten in my life.

I was hoping for a much better experience. Service was not so great with dirty side plates left on our table and left us with dirty utensils for our main. The main was mixed seafood grill for $48. One scallop, 4 shrimp and an over cooked salmon piece. Rice/wild rice combo was crunchy and cold. Very poorly presented on the plate too.

Poor value and experience for the prices. I guess it is one of those places where you pay quite a premium for the potential view. Didn’t used to be this way.

I wish this American mass-chain would divest to a local operator.

An ok restaurant. It's quite large with several levels to dine on. Our food was ok. Stay with the fish and chips and you'll be fine.

4 people at the table.. the steaks were terrible almost un edible and tough, didn't send back don't want the headache

Service was terrible, had to chase down server, never came back for drink refills or check if food was ok

Food was really good and the setting is always nice with the beautiful view. It was reasonably busy but our order and bills both had problems. Mains arrived before any of the appetizers, one item was forgotten/never arrived, and both bills (for two couples) had mistakes. Gave up trying to get them fixed and just worked it out ourselves. We like this restaurant and will be back, but tonight just wasn't their best effort.

We very much enjoyed our dinner. Both of us ordered Steak dinners and the quality of the food was very good and it was all well prepared. Our Waiter was excellent.......carefully explaining some of the Menu items we asked about and he was attentive throughout the meal. We will return soon and probably bring some friends along! Andre

The server was amazing for a busy night, the kitchen ran out of a lot of ingredients and didn't communicate with the servers in a timely fashion which resulted in finding out a dish we ordered was sold out 45 minutes after ordering our appies and meals. The portions are quite small for the price, the veggies on the plate were delicious but portion size extremely tiny. I know this restaurant is closing this year but go out with a great name, not the a bad reputation.

General service was poor. The restaurant was full and required reservation, which we had made 2 days prior. Staff was courteous, however; restaurant was severely understaffed. (That is an understatement, it was near the worst service experience at a restaurant) Food was tasty & flavorful as we have all come to expect from the boathouse chain. Prices of simple dinner options have become overinflated for the size of portion that you receive.

It was a busy day the food was not usual standard and everyone seemed exhausted, but it was an unusual day

Our server was amazing and very attentive. All the food was good. I did have to send my steak back as it was overcooked. But no problem. We are sad this location is closing as it is one of our favourite restaurants. And wine prices were very favourable

Excellent food in nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and efficient. Price point a bit high

Everything was good wish there was more calamari instead of all the other stuff on the plate and missed the tzatziki sauce. The waitress was amazing she was new but she was excellent!! We'll be back. Love the view

The food is decent enough, but I knew that I would be paying for the oceanfront view. I took my friend from Montreal to enjoy the seafood dinner with a west coast sunset and there are limited options in White Rock for that experience.

Tammara is an excellent t representative of the Boat House. A true pro. Food was excellent. Temper and taste, top shelf. Definitely be back soon.
