WoW! Reading the recent reviews, I feel compelled to write one as well now. The older gentleman owner is absolutely rude! I don’t want to get into details about our experience, just know that this place sucks all around. Old tired looking snacks, atmosphere is drab and the service is truly horrible. WHY own a customer service business when you clearly have no intention of trying to make people happy! There are 4 other coffee shops within 3 blocks of this place, try them instead!

Not too impressed. Had to ask for a lid and napkins. She offered to toast our scone, and then slightly burned it without offering an apology or asking if it was ok for us. Baked goods not made fresh. Coffee and tea just OK.

The old man that owns this place has horrible customer service! We used to go in there and buy our morning coffees because we live in the area But if you ask anybody in the neighborhood, he has a reputation… He’s cranky and he does not like dogs so do not bring your dog around he will watch every move your dog makes. He is extremely rude! The coffee is overpriced If you even get what you ordered because forbid you have to ask him to change something. he wouldn’t even give me a napkin once. Will not be supporting this shop and letting everybody know my experience.

This cute coffee shop is more on the quieter side of White Rock marina even when it’s nice and sunny. I took a break from walking and had a gelato ice cream. They have a great selection and everything looks super fresh. Their gelato ice cream is authentic and not artificial flavour, it’s really tasty. I had the Espresso flake on a waffle cone and it was delicious, I wish I ordered two scoops. They also have sandwiches, desserts, lots of other snacks and also a great selection of drinks. I overheard some guests complimenting their coffee, will have to try next time. The cashier is very soft spoken and he has a nice smile. I sat by the window and it’s very relaxing. They have plenty of seating inside if you prefer to sit on a comfy chair and tables. The place is not as modern as other cafes but it’s well kept, clean and even the washroom is clean and tidy. I like all the art work display too, makes the place even more charming.
If you are in White Rock, be sure to support Whitby Coffee House. Locally owned and great coffee for your walk on the pier. Fantastic Gelato selection.

I would give zero stars if possible. The service at this establishment was appalling. My son was experiencing a medical issue and urgently needed hot water. Seeing that the menu listed it for $0.50, we were fully prepared to pay. However, the older male staff not only refused to honor the posted price but rudely insisted on charging $1—without any regard for the urgency of the request.
As a regular coffee drinker, I had initially considered this a promising spot for future visits. However, after this experience, I have no intention of returning. Customer service this dismissive and unprofessional is simply unacceptable.

The owner was extremely rude and racist to my girlfriend,i could tell he didnt want us to come in to his store and serve us,he even refused us a sample of his ice cream which was offered to the customers before us,very unfriendly
