“Tasty meals made of fresh ingredients carefully prepared by well trained chefs is what you can expect from Sakura Sushi. It’s literally the best food I’ve had served to me in the city in over 16 years. I tried the yam and shrimp tempura - perfectly cooked in fresh oil, pan fried gyoza (dumplings) the best I’ve had since being in Vancouver’s China Town and Beef Bulgogi which rivaled my favorite restaurant in New York. I look forward to eating there in person in the future once COVID restrictions are reduced. In the mean time I’ll settle for delicious take out!”

“A friend and I went there today for lunch. It was a really great experience. Friendly staff and a great homestyle menu, even a seniors menu. Senior portions seem to have disappeared. The food was really good! My friend had the homemade chicken strips with homecut French fries and she said they were the best she has had. I had the liver and onions. I know but some of us still enjoy it occasionally and it is definitely a meal you no longer see. It was cooked perfectly and if you like liver....it was so good! I will definitely be back and highly recommend supporting this great local restaurant.”

“Super yummy hotdog specials and the fries are the best fries I've ever had! I had the teriyaki pineapple hotdog and my partner has the mac&cheese hotdog. The portions are large and the price is affordable! The buns were so incredibly fresh. Don't skip this place, the three ladies working there are masters of their craft. Well done.”

“I ate dinner here on June 13 and 14 2026 when i was in Williams Lake for a shooting competition. I had a burger the first night and the hot wings the second. Staff were responsive and friendly. Food and in particular the burger was really great. This place is clean and well kept. A couple of elderly and quite drunk arguing friend/locals added some entertainment. The outside of the place didn't look like much but once inside it's quite well kept. I would absolutely eat here again.”

“We went in this week for my birthday. I asked if they do any birthday specials and the waitress said they would give me a birthday dessert on the house. We had dinner and I ordered my dessert. They brought us two pieces of cake on the plate which was way too much for us. Our kids were getting impatient by the end of dinner so my husband quickly paid the bill and went outside with one of them while I packed up the other. I looked at the bill when we left and they had charged us for the dessert but it said “bday”. So basically they give you two portions of dessert but still charge you for one. I wish they had told us this at the beginning when I asked because we would not have ordered any. Something to keep in mind if you go for your birthday. I also ordered a regular sized glass of wine but she had brought me an 8 oz glass I guess and charged us for the bigger one which I didn’t realize until I looked at the bill. If our kids hadn’t been getting cranky, we would have talked to them about it but we needed to get them home quickly. Our dinner was good though.”
