Never open and when they are they won’t pick up the phone. That’s the reason for 1 stars across the board. Use to be good, now I don’t know what happened. Just go to Ming’s or Ken’s save yourself the head ache 🤷🏻♂️

Today Thursday Nov 21st/24 I just ordered take out from here this evening at around 7:30 ish and there was a really rude unpleasant red head working, she snapped and rolled her eyes at me just for asking for an extra packet of soy sauce, definetly unprofessional that's for sure, I also want to add that my Beef and broccoli had little to no beef in it. low rating review today, honestly has the be the first unpleasant eat from there. I usually have nicer more plesant experience and served by more respectful nicer workers then that.

Great when it's open however my one star review is because they are always closed despite what the hours on the door say with no notice posted. I have lived in Williams Lake for 15 years and have only been able to eat there a dozen or so times because of how consistently they are closed.

Many dishes were empty on the buffet. Food was luke warm. Very few choices available and we were there at 5pm?
I dont know if its just me thats changing or if the food has changed over the last few years. Chinese food everywhere just isnt as appealing as it used to be. I remember the noodles having more flavor and the rice was loaded with stuff. These days the noodles seem kinda bland and when you look at the rice it's damn near pure white. That's my review on Chinese food in general these days not just Hong Shengs.
People at our table who didn't order the buffet had to wait so long for their food. Might need an extra worker or 2 to make the service flow better. And don't cheap out the ingredients that make the dish.
I think I will try Mings or Ken's out next time and see how their quality is holding up before I go judging all Chinese food lol Even my favorite restaurant in Kamloops went down hill though so it's hard to stay optimistic at the moment.
