Marco's Pizza Tests Innovative Store Design in Boise

Marco's Pizza just opened its first restaurant with a new look that's all about making things easier for people to get their food to go. The redesign has special racks to keep pizzas warm and lockers, where customers can pick up their orders, with a soda fridge right by the cash register so people can easily add drinks to their pizza.

"This redesign is not just about aesthetics; it's about enhancing the customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and creating a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to quality and innovation," Marco's Co-CEO and President Tony Libardi said. "As we continue to expand, these new stores will set the standard for our brand."

Marco's chose Boise, Idaho as the perfect spot to test drive this concept because it thinks the area is a good place to try new ideas. Marco's wants to open up to 12 stores in Boise.

Right now, Marco's is focused on having franchise owners run more than one restaurant. The company is using technology to help find the best spots to open new locations. It also helps franchisees with things like finding real estate and managing construction.

Other restaurant chains are also changing their stores to cater to the digital crowd ordering online or through apps. Chains like Potbelly and Burger King have made their restaurants smaller and added screens to show when orders are ready. As more people opt for takeout, expect to see your favorite pizza joints and other restaurants trying out new designs.
