Wendy's Celebrates 25 Years of SpongeBob with Special Menu
Bikini Bottom is coming to the surface in a big way this month. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of "SpongeBob SquarePants," Wendy's is launching limited-time menu items inspired by the iconic cartoon.
Starting Oct. 8, the Krabby Patty Kollab burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty will be available on Wendy's app nationwide. The Frosty features a pineapple-mango puree base, while the burger boasts a "secret" Krabby Kollab sauce meant to evoke SpongeBob's famous burger.
"In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy's is known for quality in everything we do," said Lindsay Radkoski, Wendy's U.S. chief marketing officer. "So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!"

The Wendy's promotion is part of a broader "Krabby Patty Kollab" program from Nickelodeon and Paramount. Over 100 SpongeBob-themed dishes will be offered at more than 250 local restaurants worldwide through Oct. 27.
"'SpongeBob SquarePants began his journey as a fry cook, flipping Krabby Patties in the pilot episode of the series 25 years ago, and the coveted patty has since remained an enduring fixture in Bikini Bottom," explained Sherry Liu of Nickelodeon and Paramount.
Los Angeles residents can preview Wendy's Krabby Patty Kollab meal at an immersive drive-thru experience in Panorama City on Oct. 7-8 before the wider launch.
The special menu is just one part of an ongoing slate of 25th anniversary celebrations for SpongeBob. An all-new one-hour special, "Kreepaway Kamp," will premiere on Nickelodeon and Paramount+ on Oct. 10.
With real-world Krabby Patties now available for a limited time, you have an opportunity to test if Wendy's secret formula stands up to SpongeBob's underwater original.
