“Sals Bar is the best Bar I've ever Been to and I've been to a lot of Bars and the owner sal is an Awesome man and Honest and respectfule man with a big heart and his son and Daughter are also super Kool people the crowd that hangs out there are like the family I don't have I live sal and his family and this is the only place we're your treated like Family seriously I have nothing but good things to say about my Bar sal s zBar and Grill every thing is priced right anc the atmosphere is so cool and chilled and relaxed a place to take a load off and forget about your problems feel like you're in another world a happy world and the people are extremely friendly and loving and caring and concerned about everyone around them in a good way I've met the nicest people in this place and the best food and drinks I couldn't ask for a better place in all of Humboldt county and sells a hell of a guy hey man his son and daughter and the ones that are local to hanging out at this place but the pool tables in the jukebox and just the atmosphere is so great and loving and caring and respectful much respect you get from the crowd that ends up in this place where the regulars meet people I couldn't ask for a better crowd I'm quite the lush sometimes and I've been around to a lot of bars all over the world and honest to God this is the best place I've ever set my a** down in and had a drink and the bartenders Rock they have the nicest bartenders in the world they never get anything wrong and they're good to talk with consult with you can trust them and they're very giving and loving and caring and respectful as well I couldn't ask for a better place I tell you when I came back to eureka after I left in 09 after my girlfriend and best friend died two weeks apart I really didn't want to go on living until I went to Sal's Bar this place saved my life honest to God and I think Sal and his family for this establishment it's a great place I don't think there's a better place in all of the world to be honest with you damn good place and thats what i have to“

“This bar is great. My husband and I are new to the area. Last time we came we had went to the liquor store next door. And the worker had told me not to try this bar out because it’s ghetto. So when we made it official to move to Humboldt County we went to this bar. And oh boy was the worker next door wrong. I don’t know what he considers ghetto, but this bar is definitely not ghetto!“

“What a night! On vacation in Eureka, we asked a local at the dog park for a dining recommendation. Our server was Jake, and he performed quite well. Old Town Eureka was prepped for the Christmas walk, parking was free, and it was unseasonably warm.
Polenta crostini.
Arancini stuffed with butternut squash risotto.
Brussels sprouts.
Wood-fired hen with fingerling potatoes.
Grilled steelhead with lobster risotto.
Chocolate torte with s’mores topping.

“Ok dudes! 5 stars! On the real! You're looking for a place to chill?..go here. you've got friends or fam from out of town? Go here. want an adult beverage but you got youngsters?..., go here. You've seen Humboldt Cider Co. for sale around town and want to know more? Go here. Really cool ambiance.. kinda industrial meets open airey meets greenhouse meets your living room. Board games of all types at the ready, supercool merch available, spacious and homey.. all of it! But mostly, WELCOMING! So glad i finally went... And the employees are total know-it-alls, lol . We were slinging questions left and right and there were four of us! They treated us like we were the only ones in the room. And although it's not a restaurant they work with local food trucks to make guest appearances! At the same time they actually ENCOURAGE you to bring in outside food..Go here, find out what a poke bowl is, discover Gravenstein, you won't be disappointed! This is Fern, I gotchu! over and out.“
