Two friends and I had a leisurely lunch at Alley & Vine. We ordered ordered herbal tea, but they were out, so I asked for just hot water, which came with lemon and a cute little jar of honey which was just as satisfying as tea. My friend and I ordered a beet salad which we split. Nestled just off Park Street in downtown Alameda off Redwood Square behind some vines is an updated restaurant worth visiting. From the cordial and good service on beautiful wood tables with splash of green chairs and modern art is great food worth trying. On our first visit to this town and establishment we enjoyed the best fish tacos with the tastiest batter and coleslaw and a perfectly cooked melt in your mouth king salmon on a bed of couscous, garlic spinach, root vegetables...
Great ambiance, amazing and friendly service made our time at Alley & Vine such a pleasure. The food was great and portion sizes perfect. It was a busy Valentine's Day, but the staff took it in stride and were friendly and attentive. Definitely a new favorite place!
