I order takeout for the beefstew mix noodle and a side order of fried chicken wings which I promptly ate and forgot to take a photo because they smell so good. The food were good and cheap. What more can you ask for?

I was disappointed to find out they were closed. Food and services were great! It was so nice to have a Hong Kong Style cafe in Alameda. I like their Nan Ru Pork ribs over rice, dried beef chow fun, baked spaghetti with meat sauce, house beef stew with dry noodles and many other dishes. Milk tea and lemon tea are good too! Hope they will reopen soon.

!!!ALAMEDA LOCATION IS CLOSED!!! I found this place last week. I ordered the Beef Stew with noodles. Very tasty. I decided to go back today to try the happy hour menu and they were closed. Sign on the door said that they were closing due to staffing reasons

Menu is suspiciously extensive. Usually means they cant get everything right. However, our dishes were fine. Green beans were good. Bitter melon wasn't treated properly.

Great to have Hong Kong cafe food in Alameda. Great to eat in or pick up. Good very authentic. I had the mix grill, pork neck noodles, beef stew.. No hot dog and chicken wing like other places for mixed grill. Pork chop I've very thin and small, chicken was big and juicy. I would recommend everything but pork chop due to size.

I walked by this place while starving and decided to give it a try. I was really impressed! I had the fried fish curry served over rice and minced pork sauteed with cut green beans served on iceberg lettuce. Super tasty and slightly on the spicy side like I like it. Very fresh tasting! Their menu has a lot of choices. Looks like they have an upstairs lounging/seating area, kinda cool. Only real bad thing was maybe the service since the staff honestly hardly seemed to care that much about my table and it took almost until we finished eating just to get 1 water refill when nobody seemed busy and the restaurant was mostly empty, but friendly staff otherwise.

It's great to have a Hong Kong style cafe in Alameda! Just happened to be walking by, cute seating, casual. Waitress was very nice, and food came out fairly quickly. They have a nice variety of dishes, and desserts too.

Let's start out with the positives, the servers here are quick and nice. They're able to answer your questions, and all with a smile on their face, but that's not enough to save their food. Also, I was told, they use real crab meat, which is also a positive. So, I tried their crab rangoon and it was lackluster. I felt the fried skin was too thick and the the crab and cream cheese inside was very bland. Another downside is that they seem to be out of all the desserts and drinks. Boba? Nope, out. Shaved ice? Nope, out. Ice cream? Nope.... Umm, what do you have in stock? The menu seemed to be covered in out of stock items. The fruit shakes were okay, a little small, don't be fooled by the long cup, it gives the illusion of more but it's just a tall cup. The fruit shakes have too much foam and milk and needed more fruit. Hope they figure out the kinks and also stock up on their stuff to survive in this competitive restaurant market.

Walked by and saw the menu outside Looks affordable Walked in instantly sat down Suprise!! Given a big book for a menu with pictures but no description Everything looks good From dessert to appetizers But there was a server who kept being bothered by the other workers We noticed when we would ask for her, then another worker would come by and ask what happened with her and if everything is okay and repeat everything the new girl said and did. How awkward. My fish balls were nasty, i told the new girl do i have to deal with it she said no ill take it off your tab i told her dont worry about those other girls do your job and get that money lol Then the other server comes and asks me everything about the fish balls, as if me and the other server didnt make it clear. She was so weird, she even said "let me think about it" before walking off to the back to take it off my bill. Besides all the weirdness all the food was good and affordable. Cute place. Kinda like shooting star in downtown oakland 10 min away lol 6/10

Hong Kong style food! Green onion pancake had to be cooked a bit more for it to be having that extra umph flavor. Their rice noodle stir fried served up as an appetizer, was good. New found discovery was half coffee and half milk tea, which one can get if you want that coffee taste and more caffeine than tea. It was like a dirty Chai but HK style. Scrambled eggs and shrimp over rice hits the spot for morning HK cafe. Their baked pork chop over rice was yummy. Chili hot sauce was okay. It don't win me over. It was probably because it wasn't spicy enough. Food was mediocre. If they upped it a tad bit more, it would have been four stars since the service and ambiance was nice. They had these adorable bulb lighting fixtures shaped as bird eggs and surrounding it was a nest decor shape with the birdie next to it.

The food was great, but some of the employees weren't the best. However, I still thank them for serving me. Just didn't satisfy or gave me and my friends what we wanted. Recently they shut down for renovations, but said they would be open again on June 21, 2019. It is now July 1, 2019. They are still not open. However, when I walked in the first few times thinking they were open, they turned me around and said they weren't. Their hours changed so I assumed it was open (when I went during their open hours). They had people walk in and out all day without knowing they're not actually open. Now the shop looks deserted. Where did you all go? People are asking for you.

Good comfort food, good service, but seating is kind of cramp

My second time at this location. Service was super slow due to two employees. One taking orders and the other cooking. The restaurant wasn't half packed. My friend got a watermelon slushy that came out pretty fast in 7 mins and I got mango ice cream that took 20mins to come out. Mango ice cream 8/10. I'd come back to this location if they had more staff like the one in Oakland.

Food's okay. Service is extremely slow for a place that is not very busy. You wait 15 mins for someone to take down your order.. and then you'll wait another 30 mins for your plate to arrive. After you finish your meal, you'll have to wait for forever longer to flag someone down to get the check , and even when you get that far, you'll wait awhile again to get someone to pick up the check and return your card to you.
