Love this place! I don't go to bars often, but I would go there everyday if I could. The owners & staff and all really friendly. It's a nice chill atmosphere. You can play pool, sit outside in the fresh air, or relax at the bar and watch 3 different sporting events on TV. But my favorite is the food there. Absolutely delicious!!! Love it!

I have driven by countless times and on this day I said you know what, I am going in. The bartender was not the owner but she was so nice she should have been. She handled all the customers and manned the kitchen like a pro. Food was great service was awesome.

Boat House is awesome. It's equally a dive bar, but also has actual champagne available, can mix a good cocktail. They have St George gin. Pool table is nice, and usually available. Dog friendly. The only bummer is the music, there's no jukebox, so sometimes all that is playing is Ethiopian jazz. Or oldies rock. Whatever the boss man is feeling like at the time.

I decided to check out the Boathouse from a suggestion from a friend. I loved the nautical theme and huge patio, which would be amazing to sit at on a nice day. Janet was bartending when i was there. She is super nice, fast, and great at her job. She had the best music playing too! I will definitely be back.

During my Alameda Restaurant Week coverage, I captured some highlights at Boathouse that showcase its character. It has a total maritime theme - it's the dive bar you want to love. This place is the epitome of sailor types, frequented by people who own boats or live on boats, and looks like a dockworker haven. Despite the rough-and-ready appearance, they serve good food with a great beer selection. It gets busy on weekend nights, creating a fun vibe that draws in both locals and visitors.

If you're looking for a cool, funky-phresh, time capsule, of an old-schoolish bar with tons of Alameda history, (part of it was literally a horse stable decades ago) then the Boathouse is definitely your place. Great selection of beers, and classic cocktails. Great bar food, and plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is right. The owners are locals and are really committed to the community. It's actually the best damn neighborhood bar in Alameda, bar none!
Vegetarian options: The veggie chilli is hella good!
A pirate’s trasure.The food is stellar. Please try the recently added club sandwich. Way beyond the traditional club. A melt beyond expectations. Special shout out to Denise for always fabulous service. Great vibe.

This place definitely used to be a house at one time. I was a little worried after looking it up on Google, but turned out to be pretty cool little spot. Seems like there was a lot of neighborhood people in there eating the food looked really good not a lot to choose from but they have some specials sandwiches, regular bar food. They have a lot of different, specialty beers around the area. The bartender was really nice & knowledgeable. The one thing I could say at this place needs is a new bar top other than that pretty cool spot & not a bad location.
