Food was good, but not extraordinary. Many mistakes by wait staff. Our waiter talked about herself too much, too much, too much information

Excellent huevos rancheros and breakfast combo. The service was welcoming, friendly and top shelf. Will be back next time in Alameda

My first time eating there; I see it often as I pass by on my bike. Loved the country potatoes with my eggs benedict. Not gonna lie I thought it was a bit pricey but certainly worth it. I may have to have breakfast there once in a while. I love the atmosphere and the friendly service. I would certainly recommend it.

I love this place. It’s my meeting place with my best friend during lunchtime.
Their omelet is fabulous

We visited Alameda in April to attend a celebration of life for a family member that we lost suddenly. Our family was in town from all over the country, and we found Cafe Jolie Petit near our hotel. They took such great care of us, fed us meals on three or four consecutive days, and we could not have asked for better service or food during an emotional time. Pastries (Koiugn Amann!), Monte Cristo, and the coffee bar were our favorites, but everything we had was delicious. We hope to be back for happier circumstances at some point, and definitely will return!

Terrible Experience – Dog Owners Beware!
⭐☆☆☆☆☆

I had an awful experience at Cafe Jolie in Alameda. As a dog owner, I was shocked by their hostile attitude toward me and my pet. They made it clear that dogs are not welcome in their establishment and used hateful words, which felt extremely disrespectful and discriminatory.

On top of that, I was made to wait over an hour to be seated, only to be refused service in the end. I have health issues, including high blood pressure and diabetes, and the long wait combined with their lack of compassion made me feel faint and unwell. Their behavior was beyond unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you value kindness, inclusion, and good service.

Overpriced. Not seasoned. Drip coffee wasn't good. Went with 2 other people, and all 3 of us didn't like the food. Much better places in Alameda, especially on Webster than this place.

Right in the middle of the bustling West End business district there is a little slice of Parisian beauty and flavor. The space is beautiful and bright and there is plenty of seating indoors and out. A good wine list and great coffee options are on tap. Enjoy!

Parking: There is a convenient city lot next door.

The restaurant service was not what I expected. The waitresses should be better trained to be polite and attentive to the customers. It was a weekday at 10:00 a.m. and after 20 minutes I had to flag down a waitress to bring me coffee, and then she was rude. The rest of the meal was similar.

I really wanted to like this cafe. The ambience is cute.
The french toast itself was tasty, but I was disappointed that the accompanying syrup was corn syrup instead of maple. The berries were both underripe and overripe. My husband's croque madame was disappointing as well; too much cheese, the egg overcooked to a hockey puck. After our meal, we experienced food poisoning.

The beignets were initially hollow and crispy which we've never had before. Lacked flavor. Didn't like it. Also had the potatoes with the crabcake and eggs Benedict... nah! The crab cake was hella soggy. The potatoes weren't hot AT ALL. BARELY heat lamp temp. Can't imagine they were fresh cooked (food took a while). Can't stand cold stale potatoes. As for the lavender coffee drink... nope! Didn't like it either. Overall, the egg was the most satisfying as it was cooked medium and perfectly! We were immediately seated so that was the highlight. We overpaid for the entire food experience but hey... we like trying new-to-us places. Not going back though.
