Reviews for Phnom Penh House

I came here thanks to yelp and holy moly the traop ang is phenomenal. I consider myself well versed in food but I've never had anything like it before. The grilled eggplant has that deep smoky flavor that reminds me of Mediterranean baba ganoush but cooked with Southeast Asian flavors instead. Topped with ground pork and shrimp, the texture and flavor of the pork and seafood add a perfect complement to the eggplant. You can taste each flavor distinctly yet they all blend full review
Phnom Penh Restaurant was my first introduction to Cambodian food about 20 years ago when they were located in Oakland Chinatown. For those not familiar, I find the flavors similar to Thai food with the use of lemongrass, curry, galangal, lime, peanuts and tend to have a sweet component but milder than Thai food.Either way, the food here is delicious and can't go wrong. Even though they have an extensive menu, my favorites are still:* #424 Grilled Eggplant (Traop Ang) with full review

Came here during SIP and picked up lunch for my brother's birthday. I haven't come here in a long while and remembered there was a few dishes I've always enjoyed which was the angel wings, bbq chicken, the eggplant dish, along with the fish dish. We ordered these and were once again very pleased with everything. They are consistently good everytime non fail. Also btw they have updated the menu with price updates.
