This used to be my go-to for shrimp and rice but I walked in recently and it smelled very bad. Like mold or mildew. It was so strong and unappetizing I just walked back out. Hope they fix it so I can come back.

Went here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and they were very accommodating. They let me bring a cake for a cake fee and let us stay a little over closing. It goes without saying that the food was delicious but going above and beyond by bringing us dessert plates and a candle is what will keep me coming as a customer.

Lunch specials are reasonably priced. Bok choy fish chow fun is a great comfort food option. Really good service. They have a good range of baked rice dishes.

We've had a few (fairly large) family functions there and they've always come through. They have anything you'd want from a traditional Chinese restaurant, but there's some non-traditional items you should check out. You'll find them under the baked dishes part of the menu. They're basically Italian dishes (where do you think they got pasta from?), like a chicken parm and a prawns with cream sauce. Both were excellent. Highly recommended for both large gatherings or just a night out.
This place is a hidden jem.... Located in the food Mecca of Alameda...it's traditional "Hong Kong style" with a twist and flair. Lots of seating. Quick friendly service...Reasonable prices. Yea and soup and a rice plate . Under $30 dollars with large portions and the flavors are outstanding. It's a 5 star because of the flavors, quick service and reasonable prices

Good food, reasonable prices, lunch specials are the best value on the island for Chinese food as of this review.
Growing up, I always thought Chinese Food was ALWAYS better in Oakland, than Alameda. Seems times have changed... 12 of us ordered 12 main entrees, and we finished nearly all of it! That's never happened for me in Oakland...So, go... and order anything you want. You won't be disappointed Sorry, no pics. Was too busy eating.

The waitress bad manners. And Mongolian beef disgusting to taste.

Very large portions of delicious food. We particularly liked the pot stickers. The chow fun was also very tasty. Our server was the owner (Ivan?) and he was very nice.

We found our new spot for HK cafe food, their pricing is great considering the portions. We’ve been going here for the past few weeks for our weekly meetup and have no complains.
Good lunch specials, attentive and friendly
