Officially my favorite taco place in Alameda. They started serving baja style fish tacos and I AM IN LOVE. My and the local Alameda friends make it a ritual to have dinner every time they pop up. Easily my favorite pop up on the island.

La Huerta Tacos is hands down some of the best Mexican influenced food I’ve ever had! The quesobiria tacos with consume are amazing! The meat is tender, juicy and flavorful. We also had the freshly made churros, conchita pibil tacos and piña colada aqua fresca! Everything was delicious!

I love this place! I've eaten up and down the menu a couple of times but my favorite thing to get are the taco specials and the churros.Amazing and kind service and love coming here on a nice sunny day with the outside seating. It's such a vibe.

was so excited to try La Huerta Tacos and their quesobirria tacos! we ordered those along with the bacon refried beans, some al pastor tacos, and a margarita and aqua fresca. everything was delicious! they seem new to the pop-up scene though so anticipate a long wait for food. my tip is to go a little before dinner time and order immediately because it seems like they run out of dishes quickly and get backed up with orders. also, be pro-active with asking the servers for what you need. they're all really nice!

Finally was able to try this place, and it did not disappoint. My group shared totopos and guacamole, quesobirria tacos, quesadilla de rajas, tacos al pastor, rice and beans; all items were fantastic. Everyone working was great, too. Will be back soon.

Chef Felipe's food makes me ANGRY! How can it be this good? From the birria (which was the gateway drug) to the flautas to the pozole, it's fantastic. Erin and Chef, we are so lucky that you call Alameda home and that you share your delicious food and hospitality with us. Thank you, and buen provecho.

Very delicious, comfort food! Amazing taste and texture. Even when we ordered takeout, food was still hot and very satisfying. Highly recommend and will def go back for more.

Awesome pop up! We have been going to La Huerta since their first one and are never disappointed. They have the best chips and guacamole we have had! When nachos are available it's a must get. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

The tacos are delicious! My friends and family have been going to enjoy them from the beginning and we have never had a bad meal. We love the family, they always take such great care of us. The food is incredible. Their love for food shows and has been a great addition to the neighborhood!

Finally made it to La Huerta Tacos, and we were not disappointed. We had the pollo con mole and the pozole. Meat was tender in both dishes. I know no one makes mole like my dad did. However, I appreciate a mole with depth and taste that take me back to those memories. On a cold night, the pozole hit the right spot. And those fresh totopos with guacamole hit the spot with our beers. Yes, we went with a couple of German beers. Beer pairs perfectly with these dinner selections. And given we were sitting in Speisekammer Restaurant in Alameda, it made sense. We dined in; staff wore masks. But it looked like a lot of folks were picking up well packaged bags of food to take home. We plan to visit again.

Wow, wow, wow. Excellent, authentic Mexican food on the Island! It took me a few minutes to figure out they were located at the German restaurant and they are only open Monday and Tuesday. They have specials each week, so the menu varies slightly. Now that I have all that figured out, this will definitely be on our restaurant rotation. Their portions are very generous, and the prices very reasonable. Takeout was easy and on time.

Where else in the Bay Area can you enjoy modern takes on classic Mexican platillos and wash it all down with a crispy German lager? La Huerta @ Speisekammer offers the Bay Area a unique cultural fusion experience- all the robust flavors of Latin America and a wide, rotating selection of some of Deutschland's finest ales. Never disappoints. Last night, my partner and I stopped by around 6 PM- it had been a while since we were last there. We were seated right away, with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. After a long day of work, I was ready to remedy my parched throat with a crisp Hoffbrau. I was not disappointed. For appetizers, we had the totopos and guac. Hella smackin'. Hella tasty. Up next, my partner had the pozole rojo, while I utterly destroyed the pollo con mole. They say Latin America has 100's of moles... well they can add one more to the list! The toasted sesame topped off and swayed the already rich mole, finding the perfect balance between flavor, tradition, and modernity. Laid on a bed of rice and a side of bacon refried beans... mmm mmm mmm yes, please! But make sure to leave room for dessert. The portions are grandiose, so it's okay if you struggle to finish(they have to-go plates). Snag some churros con dulce de leche before you head out. They practically melt in your mouth. The delectable morsels are guaranteed to leave a trail of drool wherever they go. We will definitely be back for more. Thank you Chef Felipe & Erin!

We ordered take out from La Huerta for the first time tonight. I've been nagging my hubs about ordering from them for a while, turns out that instead of asking "wanna order tacos for dinner" I should've been asking "wanna order pollo con molé for dinner?" It was amazing. Everything was delicious. Hubs said the mole was the best he's had outside of Mexico. We ordered a bunch because it was my birthday and I was excited to try La Huerta. Here are all the things we thought were amazing: Pollo con Molé, Pozole Rojo, Quesobirria Tacos, Totopos y Guacamole, Kids Plate, and Churros con Dulce Leche. It was a massive amount of food, we have more than a whole meal for two leftover. The food was packed well and traveled well. It was a fantastic meal even after a car ride and set up at home. Hubs was joking (but not really) about licking the molé off the plate it was so good. We've always felt like we were missing a really excellent Mexican restaurant in Alameda, so we're THRILLED La Huerta is cooking at Speiskammer now. We'll cross our fingers that someday they have their own restaurant. There was some snafu when I ordered online with our time slot (it was sent through as 2:50 even thought I selected 4:50), and La Huerta was really accommodating and kind about it. They have a small menu, but we tried almost everything on it... when everything is so delicious you don't need a big menu. Thanks a TON La Huerta!
