Wide variety of breakfast pastries and coffee. Nice little pit stop after getting a haircut next door. If you like avacado toast and coffee to start your day, this is the place for you.

Came in on a rainy afternoon. If you’re an Alameda local who appreciates good third wave coffee and espresso, just go to Signal or Highwire. The kid barista clearly does not know how to make a cappuccino. The milk is oversteamed and I’m surprised this cafe does not even bother with drink presentation. What is this matcha😭 I have worked as a barista for years and this is just really lazy work. The kids hired here are on their phones. The name of the place is appropriate for the service. Food and coffee not worth the price.

Great coffee and smoked salmon toast ( I think better cut it in a half). 21$ total.

Nice little coffee shop. Delicious espresso, flat white is served too hot, as in many American coffee shops.

I love this place! It's a true neighborhood cafe, with excellent drinks and delicious food. They have pastries as well as savory options, and everything tastes very fresh. There are usually friendly pups (and people) at the sidewalk tables, and a stop here will put a pep in your step. Enjoy!
Parking: Central can be busy, but there are usually spots on the street, or on one of the side streets. It's a neighborhood so watch out for kiddos, pedestrians and cyclists.

If you've ever wondered what it's like to be served by a teenager who thinks they own the place, visit Lazy Bird. That lives up to their name - lazy birds.
The barista, clearly channeling their inner diva, greeted me with a scowl that could curdle milk. Asking for the grapefruit that’s clearly included in their grapefruit cold brew latte felt like requesting them to climb Mount Everest barefoot. The disdain was palpable.
And the owner? Let's just say "customer service" isn't in their vocabulary. If your employees act like they own the shop, maybe it's because the actual owner is nowhere to be found.
Save yourself the drama.

Decent coffee, really good chai. A bit small inside but there's some seating outdoors. The turkey panini is really the standout, and I've gone back several times just got that.

I used to love my usual, but today was off. I found a fuzzy green caterpillar in my avocado toast. A fruit fly flew out of my to go box. The honey in my honey lavender latte was not stirred in and found all at the bottom. My donut from behind the glass counter was stale.
