Really cute place, with delicious pastries and an amazing drink called the Mexican bullet. And the only reason I'm not giving five stars is, cause I haven't tried their food items and recently they've been closed, and I'm really hoping it's not permanently.Parking: Convenient parking lot

Met a friend there for a quick bite yesterday for my first visit ever to the Little House. We both had the Breakfast Burrito, one with chorizo and all the fixings and one with bacon and all the fixings. Both were solid gold choices. Things to know: You order from the window by the front door and then when your order is ready, you pick it up from the window in the front of the house. After you order make sure you nail a table (all seating is outdoors) or you could be left standing to eat.

A really cute and friendly place with quirky and tasty food. It's tops for a local place and I hit it up for breakfast. I like to get the Cuban iced coffee (not on menu but available) and if I'm not into too much sweetness that day I'll have it dropped into an iced coffee. The food is consistently tasty and parking on or behind in off street is easy. It's right off the bridge into alameda so easy to get to once you realize where it is.

Great little casual cafe with a varied menu and homemade baked goods. Indoor outdoor seating, order at counter. Menu varies slightly week to week check out their Instagram page for latest

Not impressed with their communication skills. Their own website lists two different schedules. One says mon-sun. On the same page it says Wed.-sun. I called 3 times this morning to see if they would be open on Mon. and each time no answer- only that their mailbox is full. I hope they can make better coffee than the info they fail to provide, not that I'm still thinking of going there.

Really cute place! Food was so tasty. The pastries were amazing. My friends lived their breakfast burritos. I didn't try their pop tarts, but I might have to next time. Those looked fun. I also got an oat milk decaf latte. Maybe not the best coffee I've ever had, but very reasonable. Lots of outdoor seating. Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I flew in from PA to visit my son, daughter-in-law and new granddaughter in Alameda.I'm always looking for new out-of- the-way places to eat and found the Little House Cafe. It has an interesting, inviting look and the food and service were good. I look forward to eating here again on our next trip.

coffee was 9, cocoa chai was good. the burrito was disappointing. the breakino 8 and the pastries were unbeatable. i love the red slippers, good atmosphere, nice people, clean. i would come back. i recommend this place but not the burrito. once again do NOT get the burrito. i was attracted at first but this was a fatal mistake. i will never get it back. what i got was a wet, eggy, tortilla. very minor flavor, very sad. :( the cheesecake cup was so good though i would come just for that.

Little House Cafe is a hidden gem of Alameda. Since I moved here it's where I take out of town guests/parents for a beautiful little breakfast. Ambiance-wise, their patio has lots of space and is fully shaded from the heat in the morning. It's a good place for people who still want socially distanced tables. The building itself is a beautiful deep teal with plants growing along the building. Peep the sparkly red red shoes as a fanciful nod to The Wizard of Oz! Blanding Ave can be a little busy with cars going by the nearby strip mall but luckily there's a small parking lot here. The French pastries are where this place really shines. I give them a 5+ out of 5 for the pastries! Always exceptionally fresh - never too dry never too soggy. The strawberry cream brioche I got today is easily the best brioche. Perfectly fluffy without being dry. Homemade cream. Jammy strawberry chunks. It's a struggle to pick only one of their daily pastry offerings! It's been awhile since I had a savory item off their menu but they do have great corn beef hash and eggs Benedict! I appreciate that they have a cheesy eggs and potato breakfast burrito - though it's definitely a simplified breakfast burrito without the delicious spicy salsas a taqueria would have. Coffee is not bad (they have almond and oat milk choices) but can't really compete with the fancier coffee spots on Park if you consider yourself a coffee snob. Overall, Little House is a really cute spot and they are excellent for French pastries, donuts, and American eggs and potatoes. You're bound to run into the Alameda locals that love this place and bring their morning newspaper to read while they revel in a solid breakfast!

I've been going here for years and her lattes are always delicious. But todays brunch took the cake. Duck hash w two perfectly cooked eggs. The duck tasted delicious and the green chimichurri sauce or pesto? Scrumptious!!

My daughter and I flew in from Houston, TX this morning and stumbled across this place. We both ordered the avocado toast and shared a waffle… our first bite! ???… to the last bite was delicious ?. Afterwards, I walked back to the window and ordered a few pastries to go; passion fruit custard, berry turnover and a peach pastry. The Little House Cafe exceeded my expectations and will always be my top restaurant to dine at when I’m in Oakland ??

Cute and mildly dysfunctional. Surprised it's so busy, as if I got in a guide book and gets a steady rotation on non-repeat customers. I'm local so I'd love to support this place with it's hokey boujie vibe, but it's service is just to.. lacking.
