Omg. Where have I been??? I have been a resident of Alameda for the past 25 years and if it weren't for their curbside seating (in response to social distancing) I still would have not noticed them on Encinal Ave! We had their veggie omlette special and ONE OF THE BEST GRILLED CRAB SANDWICHES this side of Milbrae and Half Moon Bay!!! Never would I have imagined I could find the perfect dungenous crab sandwich right here in my own backyard so-to-speak! We are hooked and will definitely be returning soon!

We looked up breakfast places after a hike and we are so glad this place popped up. I was craving a yummy breakfast sandwich and they delivered. It came with a side of fruit. The service is fantastic. There are clearly many regulars - it's a charming place. I look forward to being back.

The food here is NEVER a let down. You can taste the love in every single dish. It's our favorite place for brunch and every item we have tried has been amazing.

Craving Swedish pancakes? Don't look anywhere else! We love their décor, their mugs for everyone, their lovely and gracious family service and most of all, their Swedish pancakes (though the blueberry ones are also awesome!) Thank you for so many years of great meals - please keep 'em coming!

One of the best breakfast spots in town with my all time favorite Swedish Pancakes with lingonberries. My go to dish is the Hungry Swede, which comes with the Swedish Pancakes (which are so delicious they satisfy all of my tastebuds), Eggs and Either Bacon or Sausage. Noreen is extremely friendly and has a wonderful staff, who's customer service is unmatched. I'll keep coming back to this fine establishment and they have been fulfilling my cravings for years.

Great food, friendly staff, local business in quiet part of town. Visiting from out state, worth the money!

Marti's is an adorable little breakfast spot in Alameda. It is family run and you will often have your order taken by the owner. There are nice window tables, but they have signs stating they are reserved for 2 or more people. If its quiet, this is not enforced. I tried the 2 eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. My total came to $11 with tax & tip. I asked for the eggs scrambled soft and they made them delightful rare. I asked for the hashbrowns crispy and they came out perfect. If you ask for it, they will provide you homemade jam. They have a couple of different flavors, depending on the season. Their lunch menu looks awesome. I want to try the stuffed tomato. They apparently hollow out a tomato and stuff it solid with chicken salad.

Love the swedish pancakes here. The atmosphere is dicey and the staff is so very lovely. It's the ultimate in family owned, non- chain eating.

The best avacado bacon tomato swiss cheese on grilled sour dough sandwich! Super generous with the perfectly ripe avacado!

Best breakfast and lunch place in Alameda! If you haven't been, your missing an iconic restaurant that has been in Alameda for 30+ years. Owner is super nice and friendly. A real hometown place. Not a franchise!

I ordered a short stack and a side of bacon and it was hot and delicious. You'd be surprised at some places that mess this up. They definitely got it right!!

This place is the best. So charming, attentive, and yummy. Feels like you're at someone's Grandma's house. We've started coming every Saturday and can't get enough.
