Gathered here with a group of friends. 8 of us showed up, and the staff was kind enough to quickly put a couple tables together and take great care of us. The food was delicious as always, prices are reasonable, and they were extra kind to accommodate us each with separate checks, which is wonderful and saved us all from having to haggle over who owes what, and is the tip big enough.Parking: Pay attention to street sweeping signs if you park in the nearby neighborhoods, or you may come back to a parking ticket.

Horrible customer service. We got our food and my order was wrong. The waitress even repeated our order back. Then, when I let her know it was wrong, she said she thought I asked for something else. Lol I had to remind her that she repeated my order back to me correctly. The quality of food isn’t good. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I like the people and the location. I found it charming but the food was bland and pricey. I tried it a few times each time, hoping I had found what it shines at nope.

Absolutely horrendous food honestly, I try to be open minded but the eggs were probably whisked with water or something. Very bad flavor all around and there were pieces of charcoal on my potatoes, which made it taste horrible. I never got any refills on my water even though it sat empty for 25 minutes, and my wife never got her coffee refilled until I asked. Bad experience and won't recommend or come back.

We loved Marti's Place since we moved to Alameda. We love Claudia and all the dishes we tried. We look forward to trying new dishes they added to the menu with the new re-opening.

I’m concerned about the quality of the food here. They served us molded raspberries and Burnt pancakes. The waitress apologized, removed the waffle with berries from our bill, and gave us a 10% discount. However, the raspberries are obviously molded yet they still served it to my 4-year-old son with the molded part buried inside the whipped cream making it hard to see. If I did not check it, he could have eaten all of it. Or if they served it to people with bad eyesight they would have eaten it too. The other berries are not fresh either.

The Swedish pancakes with lingonberry are excellent here.

Well, the scramble was good. Unfortunately serving my partner and I super dry seemingly day old, burned potatoes with lots of bits of charcoal might seem innapropriate elsewhere, but here is just fine . I WISH this was an exaggeration. Oh and if you are vegetarian, forget it. No substitutions or decent options for non meat eaters. Swap bacon for cheaper spinach instead? $4.00 extra. Cheese cake was SO dry and hard two of us tried it and sent it to the garbage. I don't know why this town gives high ratings for everything, but burned day old potatoes does not say to me that you as a business care for repeat customers. Take the money and run. 1 coffee that was never refilled, 1 slice of cement cake, 1 ham and cheese omelet and one scramble, both with papas a carbón de ayer. My vote is $41.00 gets you much more elsewhere and they might actually care about what they are serving a customer. For breakfast in this country if you just keep the coffee full, have fresh food and don't burn it you are 90% there. Nice space but a resounding "What's the point!" For Marti's.PS Maybe I sound offended for my loved one and I being shuffled through and served what we were, but that would be a very accurate reading. After all, you are what you eat. That understanding has to be respected.

Simple, easy and quick. Marti's is the ideal breakfast spot with great service. I love their Swedish Pancakes and will definitely come back!

Food, meh. Friendly, helpful service. But getting the attention of the wait staff was difficult. Cute, in an old timey way, ambiance. Stuff everywhere like you'd find at an elderly person's home. Won't rush back. But if I'm close by and hungry, I'd consider another try.

My first time back since it reopened. My husband and I split a meal with a side of extra toast and two cups of coffee. We had finished our meal and asked for a refill at 1:55, the place closes at 2:00.The server emptied the dregs of the pot of coffee into my cup and told my husband they were out of coffee, he could have decaf. The food was not good:-egg ordered over medium hard, got it over medium easy.-pre-cooked bacon was dry-toast was on the grillAll of the above served with a terrible attitude for $30.

Best service, best food (breakfast & lunch). You've got to try this place. Swedish pancakes to the best Mexican food!

A quaint little cafe perfect for great breakfast and a lunch meal. The current owner worked there since she was 15 years old and now she is the co-owner. The menu is varied but manageable. My omelet was perfectly cooked and well presented. Not sloppy, fast cooked but made very well. Something you don't see anymore. Service was excellent and they check on us often to top our coffee or ask if we needed anything during our meal. Bonus - The restroom was very modern and super clean, an indication of how well they keep the whole restaurant clean. A hidden gem of a place in Alameda. A must try and you won't regret!
