Our server was Uriel; he took care of us wonderfully. The Reibekuchen and Fried Brussels Sprouts were outstanding as was the Leek and Mushroom Soup. The Salmon and Chicken Schnitzel were done perfectly. For dessert we had Strudel and Cheese Cake.
Five of us went to dinner and also caught some live music. The food was delicious, albeit on the pricey side - an order of fries for $14?! I'm thankful the portions are sizeable as I'll be getting almost a 2nd meal out of my order (chicken cordon bleu). Pricing aside, the waitstaff seemed distracted - it took a while for our order to be taken; the wait for the food was fine and it came out nice and hot. But no one asked how the food was, if we needed anything, etc. for...
Es ist ein lecker Deutsches Restaurant auf Alameda! (My German may be shaky) But this is truly a stable establishment. We look forward to Oktoberfest every late September, but the Bier flows perfectly all year round. I highly recommend the dunkel. Some other menu items that stand out are the German potato salad, the schnitzel, Spätzle, and Wurst. Service has always been personal and friendly.
