We were celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful dinner. Our server was outstanding, and the food was even better. We have been looking for authentic German fare in the San Francisco Bay Area and boy did we find it. We are looking forward to returning to Speisekammer and many more delicious meals.
My partner ordered two sages with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. All was delicious. I ordered the veal schnitzel which came with roasted potatoes. I also ordered a side of red cabbage. The cabbage tasted like it was thickened with cornstarch. The potatoes were delicious. The veal seemed like it was deep fried instead of sautéed and was dry. The waiter was great when he was able to attend to us. They were very busy and we waited an hour for our meal, however we were able to get...
The food and beer were great. We were there for lunch and sat outside. The waiter made recommendations based on our questions and they were right on target. Food came hot and was delicious.
