Very delicious deserts. Please, please get more tea and coffee selections to go with your excellent desserts... The adjoining restaurant is available as well for several carbonated and cold drink selections.

What a cute little place!! The staff was super friendly, and their cakes were delicious! We tried their tres leches and the vanilla and pear. Wow! The tres leches was so moist and the vanilla and pear was fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. Can't wait to try their other flavors!

That exciting "YES" moment, when you discover a new dessert shop that is affordable, cute, and have quality items... only to realize a week later that "OH NO", I am coming here too frequently. Wallet is slimming down while the love handles are growing lovelier. Although I don't live in Alameda, I frequent it because it's a lot easier to find restaurants and park along Webster than it is to navigate downtown Oakland. I had noticed Superhero Desserts, in late 2019, shortly before the pandemic hit, and made a mental note to check it out. I think they had closed for a while, because it escaped my mind until recently. Finally, one night, I remembered (well after searching for desserts on Yelp). I arrived to my friend's birthday dinner early and decided that I wanted to have my dessert now. I walked toward the cross streets of Taylor and Santa Clara and voila. There was a little sign out for Superhero Desserts. The bakery, as others have mentioned, was next to a Taqueria. Their display shelf only had 10% of items left (it was 6pm at night, which was a good sign). I ended up getting a chocolate chip brownie and Chocolate Bundt Cake. I enjoyed that the brownie was crumbly without it being overwhelmingly sweet or chocolate-y. The chocolate bundt cake was good - moist and sweet but didn't stick to the teeth. All in all, I had a fantastic experience. Made a note to check it out during lunch, when they would have a fuller selection of fresh pastries and desserts.

My friend and I were just looking for a dessert place in the area and glad we found this one. At first we could not find it, and realized it's like a small store right next to a Taqueria. Walked in and saw they had tables inside and maybe an outdoor area? The selection for desserts was smaller then i expected. I tried the vegan cake and it was amazing!! Didn't taste like Vegan at all! Rich, flavorful and great presentation. I wish I took a picture of a whole cake!! There was somebody playing the piano while we were there which was nice but I was trying to talk with my friend so I had to raise my voice a lot because it was loud. I would come back and try out the other desserts.

went when it said was open but it was closed, stayed for 30 minutes and still wasn’t open

I've lost count of how many different things I've tried here. And every single one has been amazing! The staff always seem very friendly, and I love that some of their profits go towards outreach events for those without housing. Be sure to check their site or Facebook before going, as their hours have changed a few times, and most recently they have only been open for specific holiday weekends.

The champagne cupcakes are fabulous! Best ones I’ve ever tasted!

I am not someone who leaves a lot of reviews but noticed there haven't been many reviews for awhile. I saw their sign inside of Calafia Taqueria next door when I was walking toward the patio area. I looked them up and noticed that they support good causes and went out to the front. Right now they have a little window set up where you can order and they have a list of desserts available (I think all cakes/cake slices) listed on a chalk board. I tried their pumpkin cinnamon coffee cake and it was so good! The coffee cake was so fluffy and moist.

Came here with some friends to celebrate a birthday. We chose the following to share: - tres leches cake - coffee cardamom swiss roll - blackberry hazelnut cake The people working behind the counter were friendly and helpful and quick to get us squared away! After we ordered, they told us to take a seat and they'd bring our dessert out. It didn't take long. Each serving was generous and beautifully garnished with edible flowers. The desserts were all good, but my favorite would have to be the tres leches cake. I was hoping for a little more coffee flavor in the swiss roll, but it was still yummy. The decor here is hipster and cute, with lots of sunlight coming in. Definitely a nice place to visit in afternoons and on weekends.

Superhero Desserts is unique in that it has delicious desserts and pastries, and is dedicated to charity. Check out Real Life Superheroes to find out more about the owners work.

I was really excited about trying this place bc moving here from SF I missed my dessert options. I was so happy to support another local business. Unfortunately everything we had was not good. We tried 5 desserts and all were stale and just not tasty. The cakes were not moist and tasted old. So bummed.

Great experience. The Guinness Stout Chocolate Cake was delicious. They went above and beyond and found a candle for me since it was my birthday. They even sang Happy Birthday! We would come back.

Superhero Desserts is one of my favorite new spots Alameda. Their sweet treats are absolutely lovely and worth the calories. And there are many interesting options that include diverse dietary needs; today I saw several vegan options as well as a keto dessert!

This place is awesome! It's so cute and welcoming. The desserts are beautiful and I'm stoked some of them are KETO. I love the homemade feeling and I look forward to trying more of their creations.
