Best burgers in town, great bartenders along with great selection of spirits, especially whiskies: japanese, bourbon, scotch - it's all there!

Stan and his team are always friendly and fun. Thank you for accommodating our party of 10. The table was nicely decorated, our drinks came super fast, and the food was delicious. Excellent service every time. Julie

Not too impressed with the cocktail I got a Toki highball, not much to say it was flat no flavor. Had appetizer's only, the fries and chicharrones. Great value, well done and for the chicharrones a unique way to serve them with salsa. Needs more salsa. The place is a bit loud, low lighting as well. Staff was great.

To my best surprise, this place sure did it! Call atmosphere, excellent selection of spirits, cocktails, and outstanding service gets this place five star rating just because it is there. Thank you Ryan for being a part of this great experience and providing high-quality service to the customers.Final stop at the Town Tavern turned out to be the best experience of the night.

Craft cocktails in Alameda? Our friends invited us for some after dinner drinks and took us to Town Tavern at the corner of Park and Santa Clara. I've heard about this place but never had the chance to check it out. We got here at 7:30pm and the place was packed. The hostess said there was some space in back if we didn't mind sharing a communal table. She walked us to a large table that had five other people on one end.The menu was extensive with 38 cocktails, local beers on draft and canned beers, wine and sparkling wines and with food choices including snacks, salads and sandwiches/burgers. We were here for drinks and we ordered cocktails. As a coffee lover, the Oaxacan Coffee Martini, which had vida mezcal, kahlua, mr blacks coffee, hellfire and chocolate bitters caught my eye. Not usually a cocktail drinker, I enjoyed this drink. It was smooth with a good coffee taste. Though I only had one, I could have had another one. The vibe felt like vibrant bars in the City. So great for Town Tavern to be in Alameda. Service was great and our waitress refilled our water glasses several times. I'll be back to try out their food menu and happy hour soon.

Caught the last half of happy hour!I was originally going to La Penca Azul but It’s looking somber these days, so I crossed the street to check this place that -strangely- had some open tables outside. My server was super friendly and kindly replaced the beer I ordered (it was a Pilsner because I am not into hops, but was still too hoppy for me).I upgraded to a Gimlet by his suggestion -which was delicious and I wish I had taken a picture of- it was lemony and perfect! My second cocktail was the not happy hour Basil Gimlet (intense and too sweet!).I didn’t try the food because it looked ok, but not amazing ??‍♀️Moral of the story: come to happy hour but beware what you order.PS. I ended up ordering a glass of ice to dilute the super sweetness of my cocktail ?

Stopped by to see Stan and have a few drinks. We ended up having more friends join us and moved over to the table in the back. We always try something new and have sigaute drinks that we love, like the pistola, always sunny in Alameda, and margaritas with black salt! We always have a good time and the staff are very attentive. I love the atmosphere and ambiance. The drinks are served fresh with fresh food as well. I would post photos of the food, but by the time it comes out, we have devoured everything!

Finally tried Town Tavern for the first time tonight for dinner. We started with the French Onion Dip and Potato Chips. We thoroughly enjoyed. That may be one of the best French Onion Dips that I’ve ever had. If I could order a small bucket to go, I totally would.I had the Ahi Sliders. Very tasty but a little messy. He ordered the Tavern Burger and enjoyed it. Not greasy and sautéed onions were a nice touch. Fries came with both dishes and they were plentiful. The beer was cold and hit the spot. The service was excellent! We were constantly being checked on and appreciated that. Glad that we were finally able to try out Town Tavern but wish they were open on Sundays. We’ll definitely be returning.

This place is truly a gem! I almost hate to share it cause I'm fearful I'll never get a table if I do. But Town Tavern is great and I want them to pack the house every night and be successful and make boat loads of money because they deserve it. Their service is AWESOME! they're so friendly and so good about checking back, refills, just all around great service, food, atmosphere. Always a joy eating and drinking here. I also really appreciate their menu and the vegan/vegetarian options especially those meatless toquitos! Oh boy those are delicious. Everything is just done extremely well. They've set a bar and they exceed it time and time again and that's something that's noticed and so appreciated. I'll get coming back to Town Tavern again and again because I always leave happy, tipsy, and grateful for my time there. Bravo Town Tavern! We see you and we're grateful ?♥️??

Great creative drink selection--so many fun drinks makes you want to come back and try a new one each time. Got the Modesto Mule, very tasty. And would have loved to try the food, as others plates looked tasty. But we did get the gooey cookie and it was soooo good. Fresh baked with homemade Irish coffee ice cream. Mmmm. Nice atmosphere too. All the nice little touches to make it a unique bar experience.
