5 stars because it is the place where everyone knows my name!!!! Home to my family and bowling nights followed by drinks in the bar and cool vibe!!! Sad that they have to close down due to Covid, but you will forever be in my memories!!

Its always pretty crowded especially on the weekends but the price is right and all the games, drinks, and food are great traditional bowling alley stuff.

Albany Bowl wasn't a bowling destination. truth be i can't roll in a straight line. my bowling ball is the same. i never learned the routine of taking the right steps, posturing my arm, body, legs and rolling the ball. so i'm lucky if i break 100. i'm pretty good at hitting the guttter lanes on either side or down the middle when no pins are present. my destination here is the sports bar (just beer, gin & tonic, bloody mary...) and whatever eatery is open here (burger, thai...). in the afternoons, they aren't busy. sadly, Albany Bowl will be closing soon.

I had my sons 8th birthday party here and it was well worth it food is great they could use more arcade games

If you are looking for a good time with friends.. then this would be the right place to bowl at. The atmosphere is great and the music is even better.

Beat my coworkers twice, we came here for a company party in Feb and they had a wide range of junk food for us. Wings, fries, pizza, salad, nachos, beer, soda you know basic food for a large group. I liked the shoes they had, seemed new. My party was maybe 40 people we had 4 or 5 lanes. We really enjoyed ourselves I challenged everyone to a game of air hockey and managed to also kick butt in that. We stayed later than most people a few of my coworkers ended up having more beer at the bar afterwards. I would say this is a great place for a cute date. I'm not sure if they have cosmic bowling but I can say that the place was packed on a Tuesday for like a discount day. Lots of cars in the parking lot and tons of league folks. Seems like a great hub its diverse and multicultural. I've driven past this past 66,000 times but have never been drawn in. Maybe some updates to the outside area would help get this place noticed. The colors aren't eye catching. So yea, wonderful space lots of kids kicking around so come before or after the rush. The bowling balls get greasy from the rugrats lol. There's a bar tucked off in the corner, real low key. Not sure if they serve hard alcohol, didn't need anymore drinks that's for sure they had taken good care of us and I appreciate that!

My party was met with a very rude person in reception. He was very grumpy and did not seem to want to be there. Our two lanes were malfunctioning and did tally the points properly. We stopped half way and asked for a refund but they unfortunately only gave us a partial refund. We went on 2/14/20. I would not recommend going here but instead going to a better bowling alley like castro valley bowl.

Simply the best in the East Bay. Lanes are well taken care of, staff is friendly and helpful, prices are fair, and the Pro Shop owner is great!
