These bagels are the VERY best in the East Bay, and maybe in the country! I've tried every bagel shop around. No others come close. (An East Coast Jew knows an authentically boiled and baked bagel when she bites into one.) Their lox is also top-shelf.

Great atmosphere and one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had! So fresh and so delicious! We ordered ahead for pickup to avoid the wait and I highly recommend! I got the iced matcha latte and City Nights sandwich (a spin on a lox sandwich) and it was delicious!

Absolutely great “real bagels”!! Slightly pricey but well worth it. Service is fast and friendly. The coffee is excellent. Variety of toppings. Cream cheese spreads tasty with several good choices. My fav is the lox & caper mix but they are all much better than store bought. There is a difference. 🥯

If you’re looking to branch out, I’d also recommend trying the egg and cheese bagel—a savory favorite—or their whitefish salad, which is super flavorful and satisfying. They also have rotating specials that are worth keeping an eye on, often with creative twists on traditional combos.
Definitely worth a stop whether you’re a local or just passing through. Come early—they tend to sell out!
