Came for our 43rd anniversary, which the staff noted and was really appreciated by us. Our server also was quite gracious when we found a taste of a new wine (to us, anyways) a bit off. He quickly gave us a taste from another bottle, and agreed with us that there was something wrong with the first bottle. As a result, my wife and I were introduced to a new Greek red, which paired great with the fantastic pasta and fennel sausage dish we ordered. The peach and goat cheese salad was quite good as well. The only miss was the beignets with apricot jam. Sounded like a good combination, but the jam didn't really go well with the cinnamon sugar on the beignets.
The staff and waiter were friendly and welcoming. However, I had gone with high expectations for the restaurant which were not met. I had a cocktail, peach salad and pasta (with tomato and eggplant) dish. The blue cheese dressing in the salad was rather generous and too liquid, the peaches in the salad too few, and lettuce much more in comparison. The pasta was too salty and over seasoned. The acoustics in the restaurant were a problem -- the sound level of talking and laughter rang quite loud.
Everything was so delicious and the service was wonderful. I love the patio. Inside is also nice but it's louder when full.
Wonderful service and tasty food. We particularly liked coming early in the evening when the noise level was low and enabled our old ears to hear each other.
Amazing as usual. It's the only place where, every time we go, the food tastes exquisite! It's like an international menu eating at home. The chef knows really well how to mix the ingredients to have an amazing experience for the customer.
Everything was excellent. Our second time eating there and we'll definitely be back again!
Juanita & Maude is one of those rare places where intention meets execution. My partner Brooke and I chose it to celebrate our anniversary, and from the first bite to the final sip, it exceeded every expectation. This is a restaurant that understands its voice — warm, confident, and deeply satisfying. We began with the Summer peach and little gem salad ($22), which was bright, juicy, and impeccably balanced. The crumbled blue cheese dressing added just enough funk to dance with the sweetness of the peaches, while toasted pecans brought crunch and depth. Fresh basil, chives, and a pop of black pepper tied everything together. It was generous enough for two and disappeared quickly. Next came the Shimeji mushroom & summer vegetable Tom Kha ($20). This dish was a firework of aromatics — coconut and galangal laid the base, while lemongrass, makrut, and bird chili built it into something heady and complex. The vegetables were crisp and vibrant, and the broth had serious depth. For our taste, the heat edged a bit high, but the flavor was undeniable. We loved it. For our main, we split the Seared ribeye steak & tortilla española ($60), and it was nothing short of stunning. The ribeye was perfectly cooked, juicy and richly seasoned. The tortilla española brought a nostalgic, comforting note, while the hazelnut and roasted pepper pesto gave it a bold twist. Served with cauliflower, pole beans, capers, and toasted almonds, the dish was layered and thoughtful without being fussy. Every bite mattered. Cocktails and wine were beautifully done...balanced, seasonal, and smartly paired with the food. The service was fantastic throughout. Friendly, professional, and never intrusive. The space was cozy and warm, making the entire evening feel both intimate and celebratory. Pricing was more than fair for the quality. Parking was easy. And yes, we'd come again without hesitation. Bravo to the kitchen and front of house. Juanita & Maude is the real deal.
Another great meal at J&M! We got a new server we hadn't met before, and she took great care of us. We love that the ahi tuna nori chips appetizer is back and that the dessert menu is always changing and always interesting. We look forward to our next visit.
The cocktails are creative and fun! But that's where it ended. The halibut tasted good and perfectly cooked, but the presentation was boring and sad. The hamburger with French onion and mushrooms was good, but the mushrooms were cut thick and fell out of the burger. I had to eat it with a fork, wished I had ordered the classic. The bread with Meyer lemon and dill was ridiculously salty, actually inedible . When mentioned to the staff,we were told it was a kitchen “mistake“, you get it free, it's your lucky day! (I wouldn't have paid for it anyway) Knowing a “mistake” had been made with this item why wiuld they serve it? It's hard to believe a decent chef would send that out and continue to serve it!? Mistakes happen, but you don't serve them when it does! Sadly, Jaunita & Maude didn't live up to our expectations. We wanted to love it, but didn't, and will not return.🥲
Food and service very good. The outdoor patio is a great place to dine, much quieter than the dining room. The wait staff was attentive and not intrusive, which we always appreciate.

Our favorite local restaurant, especially for visitors or special occasions. Interesting menu never fails to deliver. Fantastic staff. Lively atmosphere. Just great.
Excellent service and excellent food although the portions are small considering the price.
Dinner at Juanita & Maude is always a treat, always an interesting menu with amazing cocktail selections, warm and inviting staff as this is truly my absolute favorite restaurant!
We love this place and eat here regularly. Creative menu that changes regularly; great service and interesting (and reasonable) wine list. Great for special occasions or just for a great dining night out
Really excellent service, it was a busy night but our server was always kind and attentive, and she had great suggestions. I will be thinking about the tuna carpaccio for a long time.
