The back patio has such a relaxed & comfortable vibe. Conversations start between tables. The staff make you feel very well taken care of. The menu and its execution are excellent.
The food was mediocre and small portions. My husband and zi both got the eggplant parmigian. The eggplant was tough and extremely spicy. I love spicy food so that was ok for me but not for my husband. If you are making a high spiciness version of eggplant parmigian, that should be described on the menu as eggplant parmegian is not normally an extremely spicy dish. The service was lovely. The other two people in our group who ordered two different dishes were equally underwhelmed....
Beautiful space, exceptional service, and spectacular food!! We made a meal of appetizers and what an inspired choice! A little gem salad with Asian pears - fresh crisp elements with a sweet (but not too sweet) fruity dressing; lettuce cups with Thai-inspired flavors on finely diced shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes and crumbled fried rice balls; and an amazing - AMAZING - blistered red kuri squash sitting on a richly flavorful bed of purée made of roasted chilis and pepitas.
