I can eat everything here and it makes me so happy! No more scouring menus and stressing about double checking ingredients to avoid allergic reactions. Also the new breakfast burrito is sooo yummy!
The food is so clean (healthy ingredients) and tasty and satiating!! The decor and vibe are very calming and clean! It’s a self busing type of place but the staff is always around cleaning up and helpful!

It's okay. Food is fresh but lacking in real flavor. Ambiance is okay but nothing to write home about. Prices are high for what you get.

I had never heard of Kativa until my wife told me about this restaurant after going with a friend. We went back together, and I'm happy we did. I had the burrito bowl, and it was delicious. I sincerely look forward to trying another dish or their BYOB (build your own bowl) option. Kativa has a deceptively simple menu that allows for any number of experimentation for a more complex pallet.
It's a nice place, with friendly staff, and delicious food. What's not to love?

Kitava is such a gem in Albany! The food is incredibly fresh, healthy, and nourishing, every dish feels both comforting and healthful at the same time. You can tell how much care goes into the ingredients and flavors. The staff is genuinely kind and attentive, and the space has an easy, relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger. Whether for a casual lunch or a cozy brunch, Kitava is one of those places you leave feeling good inside and out.

Had brunch on Sunday. Excellent food! Was yummy and healthy. I loved the brunch bowl and the breakfast tacos. They bring coffee in a french press, felt very luxurious for a reasonable price

Deeply disappointed. Fails the Chipotle test (I can get a better veggie rice bowl there). Basically it's expensive, either bland (without their sauce) or weird (with their sauce) and served cold. They also skimp on everything. I paid extra for wild rice and got even smaller potions than the last time I was there and had the default white rice. I left hungry after clearing my plate. I wasn't even particularly hungry when I went there.
Beyond the food, it's just kind of a lame dining experience. It's pretty noisey even with the place 1/3 full.

It's not just for health food! Ok, so yes, if you need to avoid gluten, or have other dietary restrictions, Kitava is absolutely perfect. But my family and I don't have any of that and when I asked my daughter and her friends whether they wanted a hamburger, a burrito, or Kitava, they all screamed for Kitava. One of them had her favorite order memorized. The food is great, the place is chill, the location good, and the people awesome. Parking is often available in the lot behind the post office. Oh, and as of this week they are trying out brunch options!

Very plain simple food you could make at home. Not sure why these five star reviews are on here. Anyone who thinks this is good food probably hasn’t had a good meal in a while.

So delicious and fresh! Great for Vegans and meat eaters. The food comes out pretty quickly and the staff are really nice and helpful.
LOVE the soft-serve! Would stop in just for that.
Food was ok.
The avocado on my tuna poke bowl wasn't completely ripe and neither were some of the plantains.

What/When: Poke bowl. I was a walk in order and got it to go today. When you’re as active as I am, when it’s time to fuel it’s time to fuel. We’re scouting the region and this was my first order. We will likely move to the area.
My biggest expectation is that food is prepared to expectation and taste. This tuna poke bowl was poorly seasoned and overwhelmed by onion fillers.
There was no poke preparation. There was no soy/ponzu marinade on anything, and definitely not on the tuna. It was naked tuna.
There were two types of onions in this “poke” bowl which made it super overwhelming and taste bad - green onions (white bulb ends and green ends) and what was obviously a too-quick-pickle on onions. They completely just tasted like raw onion without a pickling and didn’t work at all.
The chipotle mayo also didn’t work.
I suggest someone with a good pallet go back to the drawing board with the tuna poke bowl and please, for the love of customers, don’t leave out the actual poke marinade.

Great basic foods. Has a South American flair. Could have more sugars-free, nut-free vegan dessert options.
