We came here for dinner and had a great meal! We ordered the Thai iced tea to drink, the Lao sausages as an appetizer, and the pad see ew with beef, phao larb, and yellow curry with chicken as mains. Everything was good, and the service was excellent! The spice levels here are no joke, so definitely stay below levels 2-3. The owner is super nice, and she even explained the differences between Laotian and Thai cuisine to us!

Honestly probably the best pad see ew I've ever had. The noodles were the perfect level of chewiness with a nice bit of char on the bottom, the meat was seasoned and tender, the vegetables had a nice bite. So so good, I wish the portion was a bit larger for the price, about $16, but besides that amazing. The duck curry was also great, super flavorful and I was drinking it out of the ladle. The curry puffs were also fried perfectly and had a super tasty filling. Also got to try a bit of the Thai Iced Coffee and it was also amazing, I might get it the next time I go. And I will be going back. The owner was extremely nice and it was 10/10 service.Highly recommend if you want some authentic and delicious Thai food.

Great family-owned restaurant. Came in on a Tuesday and was lucky that there's no line. I got the fried calamari and chicken pad Thai. Both tasted great and the pad Thai portion was very generous.

I don't typically write reviews but the food and staff at Lao Thai were so freakin awesome, I felt compelled! I believe I ordered the curry puffs, duck curry, rice, and beef pad see ew. They were all very good but the curry puffs and duck curry in particular were a big hit at our table. I highly recommend giving them a try.

First time dining here, the food is amazing with delicious and authentic flavors. The service is also spectacular, staff is friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking for delectable Thai food in the east bay!Highly recommend the Pad See-Ew, and Green Curry they were both really good. The Papaya salad Thai style was also amazing. A bit spicy but in a good way. A really wonderful mix of cool and heat.Fun Fact: Tables come equipped with little call buttons, something I have not seen at a restaurant before, very neat little technology integration at a restaurant.Vegetarian options: You can add tofu to almost anything. Some of the salads have fish sauce so just read the ingredients on the menuParking: Lots of parking up and down Solano. Though you might have to walk a little ways.

This was my first visit and I will definitely be back. I had a taste for calamari. I found it on a Google search “Calamari near me”. First I was impressed by how friendly Bau was. The decor was very pleasant and it was clean. Bau was very nice explaining the difference between the Thai and the Lao style Papaya salads, and the spice level. My food was delivered in timely manner and it was DELICIOUS. I read the menu while eating so I could see what to try on my next visit. When I arrived I was the only dine in patron. There were several pick ups and everyone I saw appeared to be regulars. By the time I left the place was half full. I was very happy with my meal the atmosphere and the service. Next time I will try the Pad Thai and the fried bananas for dessert.

I enjoyed my dining experience quite a bit. Came on Saturday for lunch. I think it’s the only day they are open for lunch.service is amazing. So friendly and informative. It seems like she really likes her job and the customers.Thai iced coffee was better than the Thai iced tea.Started off with a’ Special’ appetizer of salmon belly salad. I’m no salad fan but this was good. I like the dressing; forget the salmon belly. Then the wings appetizer… best dish of all of them. Crispy, sweet and just the right tang and spice.Pad see ew is my next favorite. Think stir fried noodles with veggies and beef.Yellow curry with chicken is the good old standby. You can’t go wrong. The only dish I did not like was the eggplant and tofu. The eggplant was overbooked which made it fall apart, yet the outer sun was really tough. But I’ll be back again to try other new dishes.
