Holy guacamole this ice cream is amazing!! We had some pints and they were creamy and flavorful and totally out of this world. Well worth the price tag and the line to get them: I would absolutely eat this again!! Yum!

Best ice cream in the East Bay.

Quirky flavors direct from... Randy... who makes the ice cream then hawks it on the street.

Dapper Randy himself (at least I assume it was him) scooped our ice cream and we sat to eat our cups on the sidewalk in front of the dentist office across the street. Best to worst: Choco pretz Corn and strawb (would have liked more strawb) Cantaloupe yuzu The first two were very creamy. The cantaloupe yuzu was still quite good. It was like really good shaved ice.

Randy knows what's up. Amazing flavors, love his passion. Go visit him today. Tried the chocolate pretzel, corn and strawberry, and iced americano. Great flavors and always changing!

Truly delicious ice cream! I had the mango passionfruit and it was like eating a smoothie--only it wasn't watered down at all and just jam packed with flavor. I don't visit this area often, but next time I do, I'm definitely coming back to try another flavor.

As good as any ice cream I have ever had. Great texture & flavors. All were really good, Vietnamese coffee was my favorite

Wish he was there more often. Randy is super personable and served amazing ice cream flavors. My favorite so far was the Yuzu blueberry.

Randy's best ice cream is super good! It's sold by Randy himself, right in front of the Landmark Theater on Solano. The texture and taste of his ice creams are legit and I really haven't tried a flavor I didn't like. He has a new corn & blueberry flavor which might be my new go-to. You can tell he is really passionate and knowledgeable about what he does, and I always appreciate the ice cream-making tips he provides from time to time. 100% recommend.

Come on People, smile on our Albany born and living provider of the best Ice Cream in the world. First batch I bought for the 4th was loved by all. Yesterday I showed up late and he had sold out of most. Today I am greeting him on arrival. And get one of each. Additionally, this man is an awesome human being, somebody cover this human interest story with a documentary or a youtube interview. We have loved caramel popcorn, yuzu blackberry, strawberry cream, vietnamese coffee, brownie batter, and more.

I'm going to keep this short, sweet, and simple. This is honestly the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. The flavors are all on point, the quality is superb, and Randy himself is the nicest! I would highly recommend to ANYONE and EVERYONE. 100/10!

The business owner, Randy, is such a cool & nice guy! I find it so inspirational that he founded this little ice cream cart & made all the ice cream on his own. It is a simple, no-frills business: it consists of one small green and white cart, there's just one size and only 4 or 5 of flavor options, and you pay for a cup and go. The flavors are so unique, however! There is seating right across from the cart, in front of Mr Dewie's & Souvenir Coffee. It's kind of awkward that their competitor is right across the street, but I'd like to think of it as more options for us consumers (haha). My sister got the strawberry cereal flavor & I got the vegan mango sticky rice flavor; both were absolutely bomb! We both licked our bowls clean! I'm very excited to try other creative flavors Randy has to offer for us in the future.

I've gone back SO MANY WEEKENDS since the grand opening and have been blown away each and every time! From Strawberry Cereal, to Banana Milk, to Yuzu Blueberry, to Vietnamese Ice Coffee, and everything on the rotating menu in-between, it has all been amazing! I didn't know ice cream could be this spectacular with such a funny and kind person selling it. BEST ICE CREAM EVER!

I first got Randy's ice cream with my friends during the Bake Love Not Hate Bake Sale Fundraiser Event in Oakland. We got the popcorn salted caramel ice cream and the coffee cookie ice cream and were blown away. Imagine theater style popcorn, kind of salty and very buttery, then mix in some sugar and cream to turn it into ice cream, that is what popcorn salted caramel ice cream was. We were so shocked at the flavor and how delicious it could be in ice cream form! The coffee cookie was good because the coffee wasn't that sweet and was strong enough to have the roast-y bitter-y coffee flavor. The cookies were also crunchy and it was good, but not as good as the popcorn salted caramel ice cream. I told some other friends about it, I raved about the popcorn ice cream, and we got it again a couple of weeks later along with Meyer Lemon Lavender ice cream. I was really anticipating the new flavor, but it didn't meet my expectations. It was lavender heavy with a hint of lemon, while I was expecting more lemon flavor with a hint of lavender. I wanted lavender lemonade in ice cream form, but that wasn't it. All of my friends didn't like it that much since the lavender was so strong and the lemon was so light. And on top of that, we found hair in the middle of the ice cream. It looked like an eyelash so it wasn't that off-putting, but most of my friends stopped eating it afterwards. As for popcorn ice cream round two, it still tasted good but the butter really solidified on the spoon this time. We used metal spoons to eat the ice cream and I guess the coldness made the butter re-congeal on the spoon. It left so much residue on the spoon it was bumpy and sticky, which influenced the eating experience. I got a great and then a not-so-great experience with the ice cream, and I think my infatuation with it died down when we got the mediocre experience the second time around. I am still interested in the other flavors but I'm not rushing to get it as soon as it drops anymore. Also, it's pretty pricey for a small container of ice cream when you can get full pints of ice cream at other places for a couple dollars more. I hope Randy's ice cream will offer full pints in the future so we can enjoy more ice cream at a time! And I hope there will be better quality control so no more hair falls in!

We finally found Randy's! We happened to be driving by the movie theater on Solano around 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon, and the ice cream cart was there! We lucked out since it was so late in the day. We bought three different flavors - popcorn, coffee cookie and passion guava. Each was delicious in its own way, but popcorn is so tasty and supremely unique....while coffee cookie is a great balance of bitter, sweet with crunchy texture. At $4 per cup, it seems pricey except those cups are pretty big (we shared one cup between two adults).
