Zaytoon Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar

Zaytoon's one of my favorite Bay Area restaurants. It's FABULOUS! Good for celebrations as well as informal meals.

We have eaten here many times and it is always excellent. The portions are big and we tend to bring home leftovers for the next day

This is always a great neighborhood gem. Relatively inexpensive compared to current restaurant prices, almost always reliably delicious foods - this time the chicken kabob was overcooked, unusual - and a friendly staff and welcoming environment. When busy it does get noisy so be prepared!

Hummus plate is to die for. Gambri and Scallop is divine, with the Fattoush Salad and Shish Taouk as favorites

We love this place because of the great food, beverages, value. However they are significantly understaffed when the restaurant is full. The service is sub par on busy nights

I noticed Zaytoon's plating of our dishes was sloppy with food up to the edge of plates. We had to be careful using utensils to avoid the food falling off the plate. How about larger & oval shape plates. My Moussaka dish was edible but not as good as it use to be. Seems heated too long so cheese topping had burnt edges & the layers of beef & eggplant became one big hot mushy glob. Love Zaytoon's diverse menu choices. But now it seems I have to think twice about my choice & hope I did chose well.

My son and I enjoyed our Saturday dinner at Zaytoon very much! We were seated within 5 min (with a reservation) and the service was great. Food was delicious - we tried the Mazza Platter, the Shrimp/Scallops, Beef Kebab and the Okra Lamb stew. I had the Lamb stew and it was not gamey - really tender meat in a light tomato sauce. The atmosphere was modern and hip - but not noisy at all. Definitely great for a family meal. Highly recommend Zaytoon for a delicious, high quality meal. I can't wait to go back as there were many more items on the menu that I want to try!

Great place for dinner with the fam. The waiters were very kind and they brought out the dishes in ~5 min. Great food, lots of protein. Similar to a fine dining atmosphere.

We enjoyed some delicious food at Zaytoon! The lamb kebab and beef/lamb shwarma both had wonderful flavors and the portions were generous. The knafeh was absolutely scrumptious!
