Some of the best noodles I've had in Alhambra--chewy and delicious. I can't wait to come back.

Stopped in to order a Jiang Bing. We learned about this place months ago from a video on Instagram. This is our second time here and we really enjoy the fresh made to order food!

small mom n' pop shop on the corner. food was great & made to order! ordered three types of jian bing, 3-delicacy dumplings, 3-delicacy noodles & soy milk. the dumplings & noodles were delicious too. dumplings are plump w/ thin skin & noodles had plenty of toppings. dumplings can either be boiled or pan fried. soy milk comes in a large bowl & unsweetened. there's a sugar dispenser that lets you customize the sweetness level in your own bowl. the jian bings ordered: 3 sausage, beef tendon, & normal beef. the beef ones were filled well! each order of jian bing is cut into 4 & are easy to split btwn 2-4 people. they also come with a wrapper to hold the pancakes to avoid greasy fingers. overall, the experience was good!

Small mom & pop Chinese restaurant on the corner of a plaza. There's some street parking in the front and plenty of parking in the parking lot in the back. My family and I came here on a Sunday during lunchtime and were the only ones. We were quickly seated. They have a small menu, which can be good to limit decision fatigue. Service was lackluster though. After taking our order, the waiter essentially only came to our table to drop off the food. Other than that, we had to get up to go get our own utensils. Meanwhile, the waiter/server was just sitting there behind the counter watching TV on his phone. Really?!? 1. Shoot Cucumber (2/5) 2 stars for the fresh, crunchy cucumber. Minus 3 stars for the sauce. This dish (if made right) should have a good blend of soy sauce, vinegar, garlic and maybe a hint of spice. Their cucumber dish literally tasted like cucumber soaked in a bed of salty soy sauce. There's hardly any vinegar or garlic to balance it out. 2. Jelly Noodle (4/5) You can choose between the clear noodles or the flat white rice noodles. We ended getting both due to individual preferences. The clear noodle on e lacked taste because the sauce did not stick to the clear noodles well. The white rice noodles were better. Overall, this was probably my favorite dish of everything we ordered. You can taste a more balance flavor of soy sauce, vinegar and peanut sauce. What's weird is 3. Jian Bing (Thin Crispy Chinese Crepes) (3.5/5) This was the primary reason we came here. I love that this place serves a dish that's not common at most other Chinese restaurants. Unfortunately, the taste was subpar. For some reason, it had a "powdery" consistency, which destroyed the pleasure of eating this. 4. Beef Jian Bing (Thin Crispy Chinese Crepes with Beef) (3/5) The dough was again powdery. The beef added additional flavor, which would've been good, but the beef was too salty and crumbly. 5. Soy Milk (2/5) Their soy milk is not filtered well. There's bits and powdery pieces of soy left. 1 plus is that they serve it unsweetened, so you can add as much or as little sugar to your palate's desire. 6. Pork & Chive Potstickers (1.5/5) Just ok. Nothing special about this potsticker. The skin was not fried enough as it was soggy in texture. The pork seemed to be old or of poor quality. Overall, it lacked flavor completely. I had to douse it with the sauce from the cucumber dish to be able to eat it. 7. Pork and Fennel Dumplings (1.5/5) The dumpling dough was very poor quality. It's like they used filler dough instead of real dumpling skin. The dough was hard and crumbly. I give them 1.5 stars for the generous filling. The fennel tasted different for each member of my family - like "tea" to 1 person, an "old house smell" to another, and "nothing" to another member. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back here.

Food tasted authentic and delicious! Staff was quick and kind. We got the crepes: - beef tripe - sausage - original Along with the jelly noodles, soy milk, and chinese doughnuts. Everything came out quickly and made to order. The crepes come cut into fours so it's perfect for sharing! Parking is behind the restaurant in a shared lot. Limited dining space so not ideal for large parties.

Ai Wei Ju will be added to our family list of go-to restaurants for Chinese comfort food. Dumplings are available pan fried or boiled. Go with pan fried if you have to choose (and I'm a boiled dumpling gal!) They had the desirable crispy bottom skin and were not greasy. The jian bing was freshly made and delicious! I think the noodles were also freshly made. There is outdoor patio available which also seems to serve as a storage space. (Curtains would be helpful to keep it separate.) interior is small with 5 (?) tables.

The pancakes made from freshly fried fried dough sticks are great. If the fried dough sticks can be re-fried, they will be even crispier. delicious crepes very authentic tian jin

Interesting crepe-style chinese food. Not sure I’d go back anytime soon but if you’re in the area it’s a fun dish to try.

The fried dumplings are delicious, but the boiled dumplings have a lot of sink.

A small shop but, colorful storefront. As part of a food crawl, my friends and I started here for breakfast. It was so good! We ordered soy milk, jelly noodles, beef tripe crepe, sausage crepe, regular crepe, and yuotiao (chinese doughnut). The soy milk goes so well with all the food items we ordered. The yuotiao was seasoned and went well dipping in the soy milk which I added a bit of sugar. All the crepes were delicious, light, crispy, but filling. The jelly noodles were seasoned well with the sauce provided very good as well. The food came out quick and fresh, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Definitely recommend!

My wife was craving noodles, so I was looking at various noodle places near us, and I found this jianbing restaurant that also served soup noodles. I had not had jianbing in a solid year or so, so I decided to stop by this place for lunch with my wife. It's a small restaurant with not a large number of seats, but the service is quite good. The staff are very friendly. The jianbing is actually made in the dining area, so it's super fresh. I ordered a jianbing with crisps, and my wife ordered a beef tendon noodle soup. The staff said they were almost out of beef tendon, so they got a mix of beef tendon and beef brisket which I prefer. The jianbing had chili oil in it, and it was soft on the outside but the crisps were crispy on the inside. The chili oil had a nice mala kick, which I liked. The beef noodles were amazing. The noodle portions were so generous that we could not finish all the noodles in one sitting. The soup was amazing as was the beef. The portions were super generous. I would definitely come back.

I stumbled into this little shop by mistake. The pancakes they make are really good and classic for $6.5 each. The pancakes in Rowland Heights are nothing like that. Don’t be afraid of not knowing the goods, just be afraid of comparing goods.

Ai Wei Ju is located next door to Coconut Jelly King. There is actually plenty of parking in the back and there is also outdoor seating available through the back entrance as well. Since I was in the area and had Ai Wei Ju bookmarked on my Yelp, my husband and I decided to come here and make a to go order this past Monday, around 4:30 pm. We were greeted by an employee and handed menus to look over. We ended up purchasing: Pancake (Thin Crispy + Beef), $11 prior to tax- This pancake comes in two large pieces (or one large crepe that was cut in half) and was made to order. It was nice watching the employee make our crepe/ pancake. The crepe itself was good and the beef filling was delicious. My mom and husband both enjoyed this and would order this again. Pork & Napa Dumpling, $13 prior to tax- I am not sure how many pieces this comes in but I had 13 pieces in my order. And from other Yelp member's photos, I counted 13-15 pieces so I guess it is just random. Anyways, we ordered these to be fried but you can also order them to be steamed. The dumpling was good. Jelly Noodles, $6.59 prior to tax- My husband decided to order this side dish. I think the portion size is fair for the price. The wide noodles were good and perfectly cooked. Came with some cucumbers for added freshness, I liked the sesame peanut sauce that it came with (which was placed on the side). ------------------------ (Total= $33.73 after tax) Wait time for our order wasn't too long and customer service was friendly. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again in the near future.
