The food and service was good. The fried banana wasn't; It was unripe, so it left the bitter sensation in our mouths.

The cashew vegetable stir fry was really good, as well as the egg fried rice. Lunch combo is good value, and fills you up. Somewhat of a small restuarant, but the atmosphere inside is pleasant.

Sadly, the portions are too small. Does not fill a guy up. Delicious tho.

A very small Thai restaurant but great food. There isn't a very big parking lot in the back but you can find parking nearby on the streets. There also isn't many tables inside so that is why the wait times get so long. Luckily, we came at a good time and didn't have to wait. The employees are friendly and have good service too.We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, chicken satay, khao soi. The satay was okay but I really liked the pad thai and pad see ew. However, the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. One dish is barely enough for one person. But I guess the size is good for trying different dishes with friends.

Looking for a quick, local dinner and ended up going to Chef G. Overall great first experience, so glad to know there's (another) local Thai spot for when I'm in the mood.I had the Khao Soi which as of recently has been my favorite dish in Thai restaurants. I was happy to see it on the menu since I believe this is more of a specialty, regional dish, and do not see it at all Thai restaurants. I like to think of Khao Soi as a leveled up version of the usual Thai curry. It's that much more savory, creamy, a little spicy, sweet and just so delicious. I was happy with this Khao Soi here and the chicken that it came with was very tender as well. I don't think there are other protein options with this dish as I have seen at other places. The Khao Soi was about $14 which I thought was pretty cheap when I saw it on the menu. I assumed that it was going to be a little bit smaller of a dish and that was true. But it was not too small and did not leave me hungry. I think I like it's a little smaller and cheaper, with things costing so much these days. It's a nice clean, little Thai restaurant with maybe under 10 tables. I like the large mural they have on one of the walls. The service staff was fantastic both when taking the order and checking with me throughout the meal. Friendly and attentive. They are located on 4th St, as stated in their name, right off of Main St. Parking should not be an issue with parking structures close by as well as residential street parking is readily available. If you are looking for a new Thai place, check out Chef G.Cheers!

I came with my friend because we love thai food and even we have to wait like 10 minutes it was worth it because the foos was good, the service great and the ambience cozy; the only cons I have it os that it is a small place.

This place was great! We ordered the pad see ew and the pad Thai and we loved them both!! We enjoyed them so much that we only have the aftermath photo to share Their service was also great. They were very attentive and the restaurant had a very clean boho vibe to it.

There aren't many solid Thai restaurants in the SGV so had to check it out after all the positive reviews it's gotten. It's a small restaurant off Main St. in Alhambra and I ended up really enjoying the food. I got the khao soi while my friend got a chicken pad Thai. The Khao Soi was one of the better ones I've had in LA. The curry soup was really flavorful and the portion size was quite large. My friend enjoyed the pad thai and fried tofu appetizer that we split. It's a decently sized menu and there are many other things I'd like to try next time I go.

This place is tiny and the food did take a while but their Tom yum soup was the best I've ever had! The Penang beef was super tender and the sauce was lick the plate yummy. I had two refills of white rice and couldn't get enough. Their boat noodle soup was also another must get. Super comforty especially on a cold night. The drunken spaghetti was on the sweeter side. I wasn't a fan but my family enjoyed it. Overall - the foods were a hit. Would def be back for their soups!

Small and neat place. Fish cakes are superb. We love the Don yum soup and beef satay was good. Seafood curry with rice tastes so yummy. Egg rolls are fried to perfection.

Cute, hole in the wall. Intimate, almost like eating at someone's home. Ordered takeout and service was quick and nice. The meat on my noodle dish was quite tender

Found this place on yelp for a fast lunch with my mom. It is a very small and mom and pop shop. Everything tasted very delicious. I ordered the green curry lunch combo comes with appetizers that you can choose from and soup and salad. I ordered the chicken satay. My mom ordered the chicken pad krapow with bbq chicken and egg fried rice. My mom really enjoyed the egg rice. She said it was very delicious. Great service and ambiance. Price isn't too bad either but I do think the portions are a bit tiny for what it is. Definitely want to go back to try their pad Thai and crab fried rice!

Best Thai food I've ever had, I wish I could keep it a secret. If I lived closer to the restaurant I would be there once a well. Also order your own pad thai don't share it. lol
