We came tonight for a marching band fundraiser. There is a very large selection and the portions are very good for the price. They also have a happy hour menu that has good sized portions. The menudo was a bit spicier than I expected. The Jamaica was very good, not too sweet and a good size (see the photo). They also have a few large screens for sports fans.Parking: There is a small parking lot and free street parking.

Very bad service from the waiters... I only asked one of them for something and he told me that he couldn't bring me anything until the one who served was outside but he wasn't even busy not to bring it and much less to talk to the person in charge of the table. ..

Food &definitely the service can be improved at this restaurant. The waiter came once to give us our food &we never heard from her again. I asked for flour tortilla w/my dish &received corn tortillas instead. Their spicy watermelon drink is too strong you can hardly enjoy it as the menu shows &when I asked the waiter for another drink, she never came back with it. The place was not even packed therefore I feel they could have welcomed us better &actually assisted better.

BEWARE CORKOACHES The food was good however the fact that another couple kept staring and we look up to realize there was a huge cockroach above us we literally got up and ran out of are seats we were waiting for a drink but asked for it to be removed as we just wanted to leave and pay the fact that the manager or no one offered to comp or discount anything is ludicrous

I haven't been here in quite a few years and I should have kept it that way. My girlfriend and I came to have dinner and honestly, I should have eaten at Jack in the Box next door. The service was horrible and the food wasn't any better. I had ordered the Mole burrito because I'm a big fan of Mole, but not here at Chonitos. My girlfriend didn't like her Carne Asada burrito either. The beans tasted like they came out of a can and the burrito had nothing but meat inside. We're definitely not coming here anymore.

Great place to meet new people and very nice bartender, fernando was an awesome bartender kept all people at the bar entertained and kept helping me and the others i met there, met 4 regulars eating there at the bar area of the restaurant. I would recommend this place to all kinds of people especially those looking to meet the regulars here they nice too
