Great neighborhood ice cream shop with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. The portions are quite large for little kids, though, and they’re not very accommodating for sharing—when I asked for an extra cup to split a single scoop, they wouldn’t allow it. I ended up having to order two separate ice creams for my kids.
First time here, with friends that that grew up in the neighborhood, they’ve been patrons for 50 years!
Shop is clean, neat, lots of customers so the ice cream is always fresh, I got the blueberry and Mango flavored, simply delicious 🤗
Ice cream is handmade daily. It’s so creamy and delicious.
Highly recommend fossilman’s ice cream company, Alhambra CA………
Best service at all
My first time going to this ice cream place. The young lady that waited on me told me that they only take cash. I said, my friend told me. I then ask for a sample, I was told you only get 2 samples.I only ask for one. I ordered my two scoops of ice cream, gave the girl a $20 bill and she returned my change to me on the counter- she did not put the change in my hand, walked off and did not say a word of thanks! Quite Rude!
It seems a popular place, there were plenty of people. A good ice cream shop and prices were reasonable enough. Lots of families come into this place.
Always yummy and friendly service. Besides yummy ice cream, the brownies are YUM 😋
Love this ice cream. Cash only FYI
You don’t stay in business for over 100 years for no reason! As an Alhambra native I have a special place in my heart for certain places that make Alhambra what it is, and this is definitely one of them.
Their flavors are delicious! The price is fair! And the atmosphere is unbeatable!
So many wonderful memories at this iconic ice cream shop, and you can feel that when you’re there.
Some original favorite flavors are green tea, and cookie monster which the kids love! I personally always enjoyed the banana walnut!
If you’re in town it’s definitely one of the top 3 to visit!
Parking: The parking lot is small only fits a few cars. There is free street parking, but depending on the time of day there may not be that many spots.
Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome! They will love it!
Wheelchair accessibility: This location is wheelchair accessible, but can be crowded, it may be good to sit outside for more room.

Bought a take-home tub of vanilla ice cream. Price was very reasonable $10ish, which did make me wonder. We were very disappointed with the very unnatural texture and taste. Read the ingredients list and sure enough, gum and other junk ingredients. Fosselman’s: you’re an institution. I went there because of that. Charge more (I would gladly have paid more!) and preserve your quality and name, please.

While staying in Pasadena for the weekend, we decided to get ice cream here after dinner tonight. They accept cash only but there is a Wells Fargo right next door if you need cash. They have so many flavor options for ice cream and their prices are very reasonable. We got 2 two-scoops with waffle cones, 2 one-scoop with sugar cones, one scoop in a bowl, 3 brownies and candy for our boys. The total was less than $35 and all of our ice cream was delicious. We haven't tried the brownies yet, but we're saving those for tomorrow. They do look like they will be delicious however just by looks. If you're local or stopping through, you must try Fosselman's for a sweet treat.

They only take cash, but don’t tell you until you checkout. Wish that they would have a sign on the door. Ice cream was nothing special tbh
