Overall, I think the food tastes pretty authentic and is good considering the lack of Malaysian good near the area. However, the flavors don’t seem as intense as one would expect making every dish feel like it’s lacking that little something. The food here can bring you home but only to the doorstep. It’s a fantastic place to try and eat if you miss Malaysian food.

🍞 Pineapple Bun with Butter: The top sweet layer was sweet but didnt really have the crunch or bursts of sweetness you’d want when you bite into the bun to balance out the butter. The bread itself was soft making it easy to bite into. This dish does get pretty messy though.

🍜 Curry Wonton Noodles: The wonton and broth were pretty good. the noodles had just enough sauce so that it was neither too dry or saucy.

🍚 Nasi Lemak: Classic Malaysian dish. Everything was decent but the beef could have been cooked a but better I feel. A bit too chewy

🫓 Roti: It was easy to pull apart and dip into the curry

Service + Ambience: Service was quick and ambience was like a busy restaurant with people near you

Ahh Leeks Tea

We got the roti, stir fry noodles, Hainan chicken
They accommodated us with a high chair and a kid plate! Service was great and they made sure we were warm with our party of 8 outside with their gas lamps.

Parking: There is a underground garage. Right space but plenty of parking. We got here at around 5. There was a decent amount cars. Make sure to slow down.

Kid-friendliness: Kid plate for toddlers and high chair.

Good Hainan chicken and chicken curry. Some food was not available during the morning that we were expecting. Pick up food is ready when they say it will be ready, not a moment before as we discovered.

I saw a lot of queues. There were too many people the first time, so I didn’t queue. The second time, 2 adults and a child ordered a curry chicken leg rice, a fried noodles, and 2 drinks; the waiter said they wouldn’t have any snacks. So he added a piece of Indian pancake; then he said that these were not enough and asked us to add more. We said we would add more later and the waiter looked unhappy. The food felt very average. The curry chicken leg rice was acceptable, but the Indian pancakes had no flavor, and the curry soup it came with had a Chinese medicinal smell; the fried noodles were fried with thick lard residue, which was very greasy, pure carbohydrates and fat; I didn't eat the last 1/2 of the food. Finished, the portion is quite large but I can’t eat it. The checkout experience was also not good. I felt like the store was bullying customers. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, I couldn't hear a single normal word from the waiter. Instead, she was urging sales with a resentful tone, as if we were begging her to do something. Very uncomfortable.

Great Malaysian flavors in the dishes here! The roti canai is a must order - it’s flaky and served with a delicious sauce you can dip it into. We added the chicken curry to go along with it then ordered a side of rice to finish up every last bit of the sauce. They’re super popular on the weekends so be prepared to wait in line for a bit. This restaurant is recognized by the Michelin guide on the Bib gourmand list and rightfully so!

Have wanted to tried this Malaysian restaurant. Not too bad & not meeting my expectations. It was average. The char kui teow was oily, tastes okay, 70% authentic compared to what I had in Penang. The naan was good. Service was good. Very noisy and crowded.
