Very good authentic northern dishes

Unique Northern dishes very hard to find anywhere, with large portions at fair prices. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Really great food. Give it a try! I'm thinking of making this place the default if I don't know what to eat.

I had Chiu chow noodle soup once and I wasn't a fan tbh. Too plain, too mushy? But I was willing to try again - maybe it was the restaurant and not the cuisine itself. Ordered Kim Chuy's specialty noodle soup #44 and fried rice cakes. Their speciality noodle soup appeared light but in reality has a strong garlicky flavor. Tasty while eating but so much regrets afterward - my breath was on fire for a day and a half lol. The portion wasn't as big as as other reviewers had described - but still decently sized. The rice cakes had a lightly sweetened profile - I enjoyed mine with a dap of sriracha. Overall - I liked the food! Don't think it is a cuisine I would crave regularly but def not on my no no list anymore.

Sadly, it already closed and went out of business after almost 35 years in operation. Ho Kee Cart Noodle takes over the place now.

First of all. The number #1 special is good. I come here often. The few times I came, it's not busy. Now, the other times I have no idea. I do drive by the area almost everyday and I see it mostly empty. I also know they have another location in China Town which and that location gets busy. I'm sad that they are closed for COVID and do hope they open soon. People have there own options, let's leave it at that!!!

This is clearly one of the best place to eat in the region. Every time I visit this place I am highly satisfied. They always keep their very high level service and the highest level of food they offer. You always win with this restaurant. Very recommended.
