I like this place. The food here is still pretty good. not as amazing as it was when it first opened but pretty good. I came for Saint Patrick's Day this year and the service was excellent. Everyone is so helpful and nice. Our party had a lot of fun. Our 1st shepherd's pie didn't have any meat in it but they brought us another one and it was great. I got an Irish coffee. They gave me a paper cup, only filled it halfway and it was luke warm when they gave it to me. I didn't complain. I just drank it. But why did I give that guy a $5 tip for that lame drink? idk, I guess I was feeling festive LOL. I should have asked them to remake it. I think that's a theme here. I will say the place is good even if it's not good on the first try. Lol. just have them remake it and it will be better. It's also a fun atmosphere and decent drinks.

Food was fine but I would not recommend getting the Shepards pie. It is very small. Drinks were good. Seemed more like a sports bar than a tavern. Servers were willing to change the channel when we asked.

We've been here 5 times and each time was a disappointment. At St Patrick's day we expected more but to our dismay Irish Stew was served lukewarm and all dishes were served in plastics beer included. We kept hoping to see improvement but none experienced so far.

Food and service were not good or entertaining. Never asked if we need refills, or more drinks, or even how the food is.

Coming here for fights and sports hits the spot. They have a variety of brews on tap, they change the beer menu every few weeks, which we love, and they have daily specials Mon -Thurs and happy hour specials. Love coming here the ambiance is cool. This might we came on a Monday and they have a burger$beer special, used to be 10$but went up to 15. Either way great lil special ,and we ordered the tarantula brown ale which so smooth and tasty! Recommend coming here for any fight events, sports, and check out their daily specials! Also they have many other Irish plates that are also rare and delicious!

Well I tried them when they first opened and was not a fan, and now I gave them another chance, and I guess it will be my swan song. It's supposedly an Irish pub, but it feels more like a standard sports bar inside. Located on the busy main strip of Alhambra with all the restaurants between Atlantic and Garfield, sits Limerick's. There is free parking in the back, which is good. Service is actually incredibly friendly and attentive. I'm sure if I complained about the food, they would've taken it off, but I didn't see the point. The food here, at least the Irish food, is just not good. Went on a Tuesday night, so one dish we had was the special - a "top" sirloin with a side (got tater tots) and a beer (got a perfectly poured half and half - the best part of the meal). While they can pour a mean Guinness, the steak is smothered in a not so terrific gravy and mushrooms. It was okay, but not something we'd get again. The most successful dish was the spicy chicken sandwich my kid had. He said it was decent. I had the sheperd's pie, which was a disaster in my opinion. It needed way more potato and less cheese on top. The inside was soupy and didn't have a great flavor. What struck me the most and was off putting is that the cast iron it is served in had a strong rusty smell, probably from cleaning products or just from age. Either way, it overpowered the smell of the pie and made for a very unsavory experience. I didn't finish it. The waitress did take notice and asked if I didn't enjoy it. But what can they do. Someone must like it. I don't. Basically, while I would maybe come in for a half and half if I craved one, I seriously doubt I will be eating the food here again any time soon. Cannot recommend. Griffins of Kinsale in South Pasadena is close by and so much better.

Previous review mentioned - "the bartender, a blond chubby gal, was rude." - Had the same experience, never coming back because of this woman's behavior. Disgusting.

We just got drinks here - the bartender was excellent! We ordered hot toddies - they were so fresh, piping hot, and delicious with just the perfect kick! So comforting and led to such a fun, cold night! They have a great outdoor patio and the inside looks like a great place to hang too. :)

This is one of the few places you can actually find a Scott egg, I have not found any other place that does it. If you ever seen how they're made it's a difficult thing to make. In addition, limericks have great deals throughout the week, and should take advantage of the burgers and beer on Mondays or the steak and beer Tuesday.Vegetarian options: Not too many options but you'll find some stuffParking: Parking in the back or you can park in the street be careful of the street signs, don't park where you're not supposed to at a certain timeKid-friendliness: It's a bar... They do have good food though your kids might like it but there's no kids menu.

Food was tasty and beer prices attractive, however, the bartender, a blond chubby gal, was rude, arrogant, and generally unpleasant, but will serve drinks to customers who are obviously already drunk, not good for ownership, but perfect for those who can't get a drink elsewhere. Nevertheless, the establishment is solid otherwise and hopefully she won't get caught or this place will suffer the consequences.

The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is because of the limited menu on the evening we went. We looked at the menu online and thought of things to order when we arrived. They were only serving a limited item menu. The food that was available was delicious and filling. The service was great. They checked on us throughout the evening. We did pay to enter as they were showing a fight event as well as football. We didn't mind. We wanted to watch the football game, and the fights were a bonus. You must park in the structure behind it & that's free for a few hours. We just googled a place to watch the game, and a few places came up. We chose Limerick. Overall, it was a great experience. If we're in the area again, I'm sure we'd visit.

Our first time there. We Google searched and found this place. We wanted to go to a place that had the NFL Playoff Game . So we looked it up and what food they had. Looked good and went and checked it out. It had a cover charge because they were showing UFC fights that night, but we were already there so we stay. The place was noise but I didn't mind. It was like a Bar but it was great with TVS you could watch no matter where you sat at. The food that we ordered was very good. The excitement because of the Fights & Football Game was kool. Our BeautifulWaitress was awesome . She was a young African American lady. Very nice and always checked up on us. Making sure we were ok. If we lived closer we would come back again but since we live out of town . Not sure. But we enjoyed our time there. Thanks Limericks Tavern for s nice time while we were on a little vacation.

Pastrami and Reuben sandwich were awesome! Buffalo wings were great also, not screaming hot but definitely leave your lips burning, no worries because with over 40 beers on tap you'll find something to cool them off with ?
