Went there last night 3/28/25 But it's closed "due to vermin infestation"
First time trying this place and didn’t know what to expect, personally I needed to add more salt to my plate but the curry I had was very flavorful. Everything was served pretty quickly and was really good!

I’ve been here a few times and every time the portions have got smaller, this I what I got for a standard beef pepper rice and it’s just was not enough meet for $16

The food is pretty good but the portion size is kinda not a lot. Even though it’s tasty I would want a bigger sized portion. The service here was good and food didn’t take long to come out. I do recommend coming here to at least try it because the taste is pretty good.

I will not recommend this place. Food is pretty tasteless. You need to add seasoning from the table to make it taste better. I ordered the beef bowl and the chicken karaage. The bowl is very oily, which some people might like, but I find it a little bit too much. Chicken was dry and barely has any flavor.

Very casual place. Friendly staff. Parking can be found in a structure behind the place
For the price, portions are on the smaller side. Menu pictures are very misleading like a lot of places. Lots of rice and minimal protein. See picture as I got the jumbo, but it looks like it’s barely any meat.
That being said, I think it’s delicious. I love the sizzling plate dishes, just wish they were more honest about the portions and what you pay for. The garlic and sweet sauces are flavorful, especially when you add it to the meat as it cooks.
I would come back again, but would pass on the jumbo as it’s essentially the same portion

Very small portion for the price. Ordered combo NY steak and salmon. 3 small strips of steak and a finger length salmon steak for $26. Rest are all frozen veggies on top of a hot skillet + a bowl of rice. Overpowering amount of sale and pepper.

Food was terrible! I ordered pepper chicken that didn't look nor taste like chicken. The entire meal was bland and a waste of money.

You take away the wild Angus that was very delicious.
Now you take away the Garlic that adds flavors to the meat and the dishes. How in the world do you call yourself pepper lunch and relate to the Japanese style. This is a major disgrace. But as always your staff is amazing.

The actual hamburg steak was a bit disappointed :/ but the rest of the meal was really good. We liked how they provided extra sauces and our server was friendly and food was served fast.

I arrived with a large party Sunday evening, the restaurant was busier than usual. I tried the Angus Steak meal, it was the worst $40 steak I have had. The presentation was weak, the steak was unevenly cooked and the sides were no more than a few spoonfuls of corn. For the price I am very disappointed.

Food was very small portioned compared to the price you are paying for the dish. A lot of rice and hardly any protein. I ordered the chicken rice with cheese and corn. I could literally count the chicken down to 4 tiny pieces. I told the lady at the cashiers that it seemed really bare and if I can pay for more. I ended up paying around 8 dollars for more protein and it was basically a small amount with a lot of onions. Not worth the price.
Hospitality was good, we were greeted and asked if we needed time to see the menu. Table were maintained cleaned and so where the sofa fountains.
Parking: Suggest parking across the Alhambra Public Library, free parking.

Recommend the taryaki and rice. Really good! The wait was very short. You have to order on a screen. No parking
