Of all Shin-Sen-Gumi locations, this is not our favorite. Service needs to be improved, for example when they are out of an item the server does not tell you. You have to ask after waiting for a long time. They also do not come to check on you and refill your drinks, you need to wait for a long time.

Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya in Alhambra is my favorite Izakaya and ramen joint in L.A. They have a lot of creative Izakaya dishes to choose from along with yakitori dishes on top of their famed ramen. If you like authentic Japanese food, this is a must as everything I've ordered is fresh, delicious and well-done.

Lighting wasn't great at the specific table we were at (kinda dark and shadowy) but everything was clean (including bathroom) and functional. Food was delicious as usual though the curry consistency was a little watery compared to usual. Service was great as always.
