I thoroughly enjoyed my food. My only gripe is that the fried chicken I recieved was room temperature. I still plan on coming back though.

I tried many Indonesian restaurants in the area before and hands down this Wayang restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indonesian foods. I just love the wonderful combination of flavors and fragrances from the tropical spices used in the cooking. Additionally, the owner Lily is very friendly and attentive to all guests. She makes sure everybody is satisfied. It's always been a great pleasure dining at this place. Highly highly recommended! You should definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Gado gado ( steamed veggie salad with peanut sauce, tofu and rice cake) is one of the best vegetarian dishes anybody should try ( whether they're vegetarian or not). So yummy!

Phenomenal. Kwe Tia Goreng noodles were amazing. We got the satay too and loved it. And my husband loved the nasi kuning complit. The noodles are a must have imo. Kind

I always make an effort to find authentic Indonesian food while in LA. This place is a true gem. The food was heaven on a plate and the service was impeccable. I will definitely come again whenever I’m in LA. I had the Nasi Bungkus as the entree, Gado Gado for the appetizer, and a Durian milkshake. Absolutely delicious.

This is one if the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food here is amazing and the staff is very welcoming. Forst time ever trying Indonesian food, and it became one of my top favorites. It's a family owned place, very clean and authentic. 100/10

This place is a hidden Jen. We ordered the fried rice with chicken , fried noodles with prawn, the lamb satay and the fried yuca. Every dish is good! The service is excellent. Lily the owner is always smiling! Can't wait to come again and try more dishes here!

Excellent food and the owner is nice & friendly. We live in Las Vegas and Authentic Indonesian food just does not exist there. We checked many places around the Los Angeles area and found Wayang to offer a true Indonesian food experience unlike most of the other places that serve fusion. We ordered Nasi Kuning Komplit and were not disappointed! The flavors and spices were great. Exactly what you would expect for a small hole in the wall restaurant. 10/10 would go again.

Food was good but it took over an hour to get out. You order on the website and there's no waiters, but they still expect a 15% tip!

Yikes atmosphere. Food is good. Should be just a catering business not a full on restaurant.

They are not Stingy on their portion. Friendly staff.; ( Lily the owner) Place can tend to be busy but be patience and will worth the wait. Food are deliciously authentic Indonesian flavor. No MSG.All made from scratch. Level of spicy .. according to your tolerance it's definetly all different level. All different Chilli paste. We tried 4 different ones. Terasi - Mercon- Penyet- Belacan

The food here is exceptional!! The amount of ingredients, effort and time it takes to prepare is shocking and no corner is cut. You get all the freshest flavors. Everything we had was delicious.Service is humbling. Just the owner and a new employee learning the recipes. Lily is the sweetest most hard working business owner I've ever met. We're already gathering a group of frequents to take here for our next visit.

Soooo good!! As someone who grew up in Indonesia, the food here really tastes like home. The most authentic Indonesian restaurant I've been to in the area. If you're Indonesian and miss food from home, definitely give this place a shot! If you're not Indonesian and wants to try authentic Indonesian food, this place is it.
