A solid choice to satisfy your cravings for Mexican food minus authentic margaritas. Hot tip: order out and make your margaritas at home! You won't be sorry. Oh, and the French fries -- yes French fries -- are delicious!

Food is incredible but the service is terrible. Counter staff is unfriendly and rushes you to order. They even act annoyed/put out when you were still looking over the menu while waiting for guests in front of you. We’ve been to the Dana Point location for years and never had a problem. Stopped going to this location because of how bad the service is. Make it more like Dana Point and this place would be unstoppable!

Ordered breakfast burritos for my staff of 10 the night before. They were ready for pick up right on time and did not seem like they were made in advance and were just sitting around. Everyone was extremely happy with their choices.

Their food is absolutely amazing. For those who miss Chelas (moved from Laguna Niguel to San Clemente) run to this place. Very similar. Excellent homemade salsa and they have habanero too!

Man, let me tell ya about Lupe's Mexican Eatery in Aliso Viejo. It's like they brought a slice of LA right into the heart of this place. I walked in and thought, "Am I in ALISO Viejo or Venice Beach, man?"Now, let's talk about the El Pastor burrito – it's like a flavor fiesta in my mouth. I took a bite, and I was transported to a Mexican beach party with mariachi music playing in the background. The seasoning on that meat, it's like they got a little magic in there, you know? And speaking of being near Chipotle, Taco Bell, and Wahoo Tacos, Lupes is like the cool kid on the block. It's got that LA style and fun that sets it apart. I mean, you can't compare Lupes to the fast-food giants. It's like comparing a classic rock concert to elevator music – no contest, man.So, if you're in Aliso Viejo and craving some real Mexican flavor, Lupes is the spot. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey, and you might just find yourself saying, “ Delicioso man!"

I've been to Lupe's for dinner and brunch. Each time the employees were nice and the place was clean. The menu is pretty solid with traditional and unique options. For the dinner, I ordered a fajita burrito with no tomatoes. I was disappointed by the lack of onions, it's part of what makes it a fajita style burrito. At brunch I ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage and a brown sugar latte. This was a very tasty meal. It had a slightly spiced sauce on it that really gave it the flavor it needed to stand out. Overall; I probably prefer breakfast to dinner here.

So glad Lupe's opened up a location in Aliso Viejo! They have my favorite al pastor burrito ? Seriously, it's amazing! Their guacamole is super tasty as well.

Clean and comfortable enough. The Veggie Burrito was great as was my quesadillas but the salsa we ordered with chips ($4.50) just didn't hit the mark when compared to any sit down restaurant. They also have a salsa bar that was average.

Updated review- we've dined here multiple times since their opening and everything has improved. The food is much less salty now. We've tried just about every taco and they're all delicious. The friendly service really stands out here!

Absolutely love love, Lupes. They have one in Huntington Beach, and we love it. Super stoked that they one in Aliso. By far, it is the best Mexican food in South Orange County. Staff and service are awesome !
