Omg! This place is awesome! The food is so delicious, and their portions are very generous. The waitress was so friendly, she seemed like she actually liked working there. The wait time for our food was impeccable! The atmosphere is so comfy. You can dine in or outside. It's just beautiful!

I hadn't been here in awhile only because I tend to eat in the evening when they are already closed ? but this morning I needed a treat & headed straight to Janet's! Carly (I hope I spelled it right?!? ?) took my order & even made an amazing suggestion for my Gluten Free needs. I ordered a Spinach, Pepper, Onion & Cheese Omelet with hash browns, AHMAZING, the veggies were perfectly cooked crisp & fresh but not "raw", the hash browns were well done as requested & omg I ate almost all of it!! The real shock came in the GF Carrot Raisin Muffin as suggested by Carly, I had zero faith in that muffin just by the nature of GF but they got me!! Not only was it an INCREDIBLE muffin, it was better than ANY muffin I've ever had. I absolutely hate raisins, it had raisins, the raisins were even good!! Janet's makes Magic Muffins people, I kid you not, even if you're not GF TRY THIS MUFFIN. This breakfast absolutely made my day, but the staff seriously helped, including Francisco who greeted me with a heartfelt GOOD MORNING as I was paying for my order & was genuinely happy to see me lol Whatever you're in the mood for, GO TO JANET'S & get a taste of what a Real restaurant is like, between the food, the staff, and the ambiance you can't possibly go wrong ?
Vegetarian options: You'll be able to customize most things on the menu, I'm Vegan & GF with massive food allergies & I have plenty to pick from with a little modifying
Dietary restrictions: There's no attitude when you're trying to eat safe, I called awhile back to ask about ingredients and the owner took my call, staff is very accommodating while you're trying to order safely

I gave the Cafe 4 stars mostly because I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially on the patio. It's also great they are dog friendly! I've been there 3 times. The hostesses have always been very friendly. The waiters, not so much. Overall, I say the food is only a low average but the large portion sizes will certainly fill you up!
Dishes I've tried: 1) Biscuits and gravy--nice, fluffy biscuit but the gravy was bland; 2) Bacon, avocado cheeseburger with potato salad--the burger was tasty, it had meaty bacon nicely cooked, fresh bun, the potato salad was homemade but surprisingly sweet; 3) Chicken friend steak--a very large meal! In fact, I would say a HUGE amount of food especially with the sides! But my husband compared the flavor to Denny's.
Now, onto the good stuff~~desserts! I tried 3 of my go-to favs: 1) Carrot Cake--I would definitely recommend and buy again. It truly was delicious! A moist, dense cake with cream cheese frosting and not too many raisins. 2) Coconut Cream Pie--always my favorite pie. But.... There's was crushingly disappointing!! ? It had WAY too much cream topping and VERY little coconut filling (at least 2:1 if not 3:1 ratio of whipped cream to filling). Plus, if it weren't for the coconut flakes, I would've thought it was a vanilla cream pie. 3) Lastly, Banana Bread--I took a loaf home to enjoy with the family. Although it was a large loaf, I'll not buy it again because it was just flavorless.
I tried to be honest in my review and highlight the good. But at the same time, not to hide the not so good. The outside patio area is very pleasant and enjoyable. The atmosphere is inviting and happy which helps to balance out the lack in their dishes.

A good friend of mine and I have breakfast there almost on a weekly basis. (Sometimes twice per month) The last two times, the hashbrowns have been awful. They are cold on the inside and burned on the surface. I brought this to their attention both times. I truly hope they go back to the hadhbrowns they were serving prior to this. To eat out now costs way to much to be served lousy food.
