Great breakfast option before arriving in San Diego, Ca., varied menu, very well served dishes and delicious food. The service is great.
Great family brunch. All was good, service good, nothing particularily great, but everyone got to pick out something that they liked. Wish I could say 4.5
Cozy spot!! Love the atmosphere during the fall season. Food was spectacular. I had their Saturday special wheat pancakes with blueberries and banana.

Wonderful time, sitting area outside was great with the exception of the flies.
Prices were reasonable, we will be back.

We really thought this place was cozy and relaxing with great service and large portions. The inside decor and patio were great. Food was a little bit disappointing in that there was no fresh squeezed orange juice or real maple syrup. Also when I asked about the corned beef hash I was told it came from a can. Last minor disappointment was that that had these great looking sticky buns in their display but you had to order quantity of 4 and could not have one with breakfast. Overall, I would recommend it as a nice place for breakfast as long as you are okay with the couple things noted in the review.
What Can I say, this place is one of the best in Alpine. They are not a large place, but the food is large and wonderful. They have a wonderful staff that is super nice and great customer service. Super busy on the weekends, but worth the wait. I have gone for dinner and lunch and have never been disappointed.

This is my go to place to eat when I've got family visiting. Great place 👍
Ambience was nice, the service was great, the bathroom was clean. My husband got the pecan waffles, which we both thought were too dense and I got the biscuits and gravy. I’ve definitely had better biscuits and gravy. They tried with the food and most people like it so I’m not gonna ding them for my taste preference. My gravy to have more pepper and sausage. And the biscuits seemed too doughy in my opinion. If I’m in the area, I would go back, but I would order something else.

Very busy on a Saturday morning which is typical. It’s worth the wait. A Cracker Barrel type atmosphere, log cabin style. I always have a breakfast there, nice little motorcycle ride from central San Diego. Today I had a cheese and bacon omelet ( huge) with hash browns ( huge). My wife had asparagus scramble that was phenomenal (huge) with home fries (huge). Service was excellent as always . Our server today was Karlee who was very gracious. I hit this place about once a month and I am never disappointed. Every dish is done right.
