This place was overrated. I can’t believe that it was categorized as one of the best fish and chips in Pasadena. The fish was dry, seems to have frozen a long time ago. Not breaded enough. Mo Malt vinegar. Not worth for the price.

I was very disappointed. I hate to right this review because I want to support my fellow Muslims. However the food on this particular day was pathetic. It wasn't fresh at all and seemed like it was warmed in the microwave. I won't go back again.

Fish&chips, chicken&waffle and a whole bean pie. The food is okay. The waffle was thick and fluffy. Coleslaw tasty. The bean pie is yummy. 30+ minute wait time????Chef/order taker was gruff!!!!Fish, fries, chicken was just okay.It's probably all frozen except the pie.I would go back for the bean pie...That's it!

My wife and I found the place by googling halal fish and chips decided to give this place a try and very glad we did. The menu was excellent we had chicken and waffles and fish and chips everything was delicious. The brewed African coffee was excellent, only wish we had a few more days to try out everything on the menu. The brothers were warm and friendly to us. Quick and tasty! There is a little bit of outdoor seating but chose to sit in my car because it was a little chilly. I Will definitely come back!
I think this is a non-profit organization. The food prices are really good. Menu items are limited and you may have to pivot on your first choice. We wanted the chicken but it sold out hours earlier. Elected to get the Red Snapper with fries. Ordered the 4 piece fish and got seven. I like the way they count!! Pieces of fish were small so don't go around thinking each piece is the size you'd get at Cap'n D's. But oh my was it tasty! Went for the bean pie too for dessert. It was a real treat, we got the $12 pie since the $5 version was so small.

This place is a source of great joy to me. The food is fresh, delicious, generous in portion and really reasonable in price. The chef is a gent- attentive and friendly and skilled. The whiting is my favorite fish to get and I always have to have an Oreo shake- a real bargain. A lovely place and a place I am proud to have in our neighborhood.

went there today to try for the first time. ordered the snapper and fries. fish was well-seasoned and tasty. the fries were just 'okay'. would have preferred the crinkly type fries, but these were skinny cut and not thick enough. would pay a couple bucks more for a better quality fry. anyway, i'll try the halal bbq chicken next time. good prices, decent-sized serving, good customer service. happy to support a BOB. this is a good thing to have in altadena!

Ive had several items. Chicken & Waffles are a no brainer. Despite a slight wait. You wont mind. You want it fresh!! Everything on the menu is Halal. No additives etc to the Meat so the food will be avg size of the Animal!! Not Gigantic hormone full Poultry!!
