If I could give ten stars, I would! My daughter's 30th birthday is on January 1; we celebrated on December 31, 2022, at the Sutter Hotel. I had many conversations with Ingrid before my daughter's birthday and fell in love with her sweetness and reviews online. The cake was so moist and not too sweet! We shared a piece with the lovely waiter, and the party next to us was asking about the cake, so we shared a piece with them too and shared Ingrid's information about elegant cakes. Ingrid made THREE different flavors of cake for my wedding in 2000. All of them were delicious but she really excelled with the centerpiece main cake. I knew just what I wanted and was extremely particular in my description. She made exactly what I described...dense, dark chocolate cake layered with not too sweet raspberry jam and decorated 'just so'. The only thing she did that was not at my request turned out to make the decor even better than I'd envisioned. The decorations were tiny roses and berries. Ingrid added a berry variety to what I'd previously chosen to increase visual contrast and she was absolutely right to do so. Not only is she a gifted baker, she is a true artist with a sophisticated 'eye'.
