We dined here for the first time, even though we have wanted to check out LASO for awhile based on the glowing reviews we have read, and heard.
We were not disappointed! LASO lives up to all the glowing reviews. I can't pick a favorite dish because everything was so delicious & flavorful. We shared the samosa appetizer (the samosa dipping sauces are amazing), we each had what we agreed were one of the best cheeseburgers we have ever had, and for dessert we shared Ras Malai, a cheese based dessert. Ras Malai is made with a creamy cheese, similar to burrata, but even softer/creamier with more sweetness. The sauce with the Ras Malai has subtle flavors of pistachio and rose water. I also ordered the Mango Lassi a delicious, refreshing beverage that was perfect to drink following the spicy samosa appetizer.
The owners, Ming and Dawa, are friendly and gracious. We enjoyed the warm, cozy atmosphere that has an inviting coffee house vibe. Lastly, the prices at LASO are so reasonable, especially when you consider the high quality of the food they serve.
We definitely plan on being regular customers!

Really cool restaurant! The owner is great at making you feel welcome and explaining what all of the customs are and how to order if you have never tried this kind of food. The food is authentic and tastes amazing!

This place is fantastic! Ming was knowledgable, well-spoken, and proud of his craft. He was a warm and engaging host. It was nice to hear the details of the meal we were about to eat, and understand it's role in the proud nation of Nepal. Plus, the food was ridiculously tasty. I wish I lived closer to Laso, and will definitely stop in next time I'm in American Canyon at lunch time.

EDITED The first time we went, close to end of Summer this year, may well be our last, we came in probably 40-45mins before they were closing. We asked first if they can still accommodate and we didn't insist to stay, but they said the kitchen is still open and they can sit us. We were browsing the menu and trying to choose which we could try since we heard great reviews about the place and wanted to support a local business.
To our surprise, the hostess came to our table and said they will only serve what they have in the kitchen and nothing much off from the menu. She mentioned that they have a lamb dish (not shank) and some kind of beef dish (not soup), so we said ok we will try those, as we wanted to give this place a chance.
While we were waiting for our food, a group of people came in and sat on a long table. They placed their orders after looking at the menu from our observation and while we are getting our food, plates of several dishes were going out same time to theirs and a lot different from what we were served. This was really starting to feel a disappointment in their service and the food we had was not even that savory nor tasty. Seem like it was rushed, to think we didn't insist on staying. So unfortunately, we don't have any good experience going to this place. We drove from Napa to check them but was very unhappy when we left. Don't think we even finished our meal.

First time here, it was amazing. The food was amazing, the flavors are amazing. The one thing that I appreciated the most was the service and the way they explained the dishes and how to eat it , it was like dinner and a lesson in Nepalese food. Definitely worth checking out!

Had dinner here with five colleagues and all of us loved it! Food is so authentic (I've been to Nepal) and the owners were lovely. And, after ordering every delicious item on the menu, we couldn't believe how reasonable the bill was. Highly recommend!

I love this place!!! had never been to a Nepalese restaurant before today, now I will look for them on purpose. This place is so amazing! I had the beef momo, pan fried dumplings. Excellent flavor! I had no idea… the different sauces, all wonderful:) Ming was the coolest guy to talk to, made me want to visit Nepal for sure. I will absolutely come back here and recommend to everyone.
Next day update: I came back here for the second day in a row, and I almost never do that. I couldn’t wait to try other items on the menu:)

The fantastic Nepalese food was a welcome change towards the end of our 3 week road trip through California :D
From momo to thali to thenthuk to ras malai, everything was excellent, perfectly seasoned and processed and absolutely tasty.
We were also served very warmly and felt very comfortable. :)
