I decided to order the Mickey Mouse pretzel for that was one of my must try's for visiting Disneyland. The pretzel was as good as big soft pretzels get and the cheese sauce made it all the better.

We took our 8 year old grandson and granddaughter to celebrate Halloween for the first time inCali. We booked this trip with them and my husband from Seattle. We spent almost $3000 for 3 nights at this hotel. Our room was sub-par for what we paid. The hotel is under construction which we’re aware of. Surprisingly, that did not bother us as much as we thought and we were understanding of the situation. However, the room is dingy and old, the water pressure was almost null and void for both the shower and sink. The pool is small. The small old refrigerator was old and and not cold. There are no food and beverage service. And with that, why would you not have any ice available at the pool when we have to bring our own drinks there?? This is by far the most disappointing room experience that we’ve had. You charge way too much for sub par accommodations. The best part of our experience at this hotel was housekeeping , which we really appreciated but I highly recommend going elsewhere. This looks place was very disappointing overall. We definitely overpaid and will not stay there again.
Really wanted to be wow-ed by this hotel-its a Disney hotel after all, but the best I can say is it was clean! I understand the hotel is undergoing a refurb, but we paid a lot of money for a room that was shabby at best. The furniture was chipped and scratched, the shower was almost antique and there were minimal facilities for food in the hotel. The best thing about the room was the view of Disney California Adventure (and we had to pay extra for that!) The Pool area was nice but that was the first thing refurbed-presumably to entice more people to stay there! The walk to the parks was further than many of the hotels on Harbor Boulevard, and the room we had just left at the Candy Cane Inn was far nicer. The only advantage of staying at a Disneyland hotel is an extra 30 minutes in the park in a morning, and by the time we had got through security and the turnstiles, that was down to 25 minutes. Normally when I leave a Disney hotel I am teary, but this hotel did not g=have that effect on me. We will not be coming back to this hotel.
This was an unexpected urgent stay for us, so we didn’t do research and just booked. But $450 for a weekday during the school year was a high price for a motel-like experience. Bed was comfortable, but bathroom was barebones. No on-site restaurant or shopping. For $150 more you might as well stay at Grand Californian that is luxurious and better amenities & location. The building is old and getting renovated with a Pixar theme. The pool area is nice and it’s a 10 minute walk to Disneyland entrance. $35 self parking garage is next door. The staff are super nice and professional as usual for Disney. Would not stay again.
A+++ accommodation; Staff service excellent; Greeted by managers in the morning/afternoon plus bellman; housekeepers are very friendly making you feel like you are at home; hotel lobby and public space renovated; fresh feeling; pool slides A+++; hot tub will massage your body under California sunset; Disneyland hotel monorail slides down for renovation; 3rd floor fireworks viewing deck have new design seatings; fireworks with music speakers really puts you in a mood. Nice touch.
We stayed during the Paradise to Pixar transition. This hotel was wonderful. The pool wasn’t operational so lifeguards were on standby to take us over Ty the other hotel to use the pool. The new gift shop was super cute. We had a view of the water show and it was lovely. The rooms were nicely appointed and they were clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The easy access to California Adventure is a great perk! We would definitely stay again!
I normally love this hotel but this past visit was truly whatever. When we checked in we were told the pool was not open but we could use the Disneyland Hotel pool. Great! DLH has a wonderful pool. The next day we were told “our” pool was open but we could still use the DLH pool. So we went to our brand new pool and it was underwhelming. Good for tiny kids though. Slide was not open so we walked over to DLH. When we arrived we were unwelcomed. Told because the PP pool was open we could no longer use their pool. I explained that the cast members were still offering their pool she rolled her eyes and said “ok for today, but don’t try this tomorrow.” Laughable customer service. The beds at PP are great. Normally I like how quiet this hotel is. This time we were on a lower floor. The sound from the exterior speakers are very loud all day and all night until 10p. Frankly it’s annoying. It’s very similar to a Fremont facing room in vegas. I would never stay in a lower room again. I’m an early bird and for these prices a muffled all day/night dance party is ridiculous. I continue to like the elevator system, gift shop, and lobby areas. Of course I’ll come back, but maybe in the winter when I don’t want a pool.
Jerry at the Front Desk made this trip memorable and Magical! He greeted us every time he saw us and always engaged us in conversation related to our previous interactions. Jerry made our daughter’s 15th Birthday extra special! His character and charm are unforgettable. Thank you Jerry! The Hotel is under construction and is starting to take its new Pixar look on. We love the ease of access to the parks, and it allows us to take breaks to nap. The premium view is great and once you learn the tips and secrets you’ll appreciate the stay even more!
Stayed here for our first trip to Disneyland and it did the job! Both parks are well within walking distance from the hotel and you have full access to the Grand Californian's amenities. Although a little outdated, the hotel is clean and the staff are beyond lovely. We splurged for the Premium View to make our trip more memorable, which it did, but since it was under construction when we stayed, it would've been nice to have a small discount off the price instead of being charged the normal rate. Would definitely stay here again, especially once it has been fully refurbished!

I really wanted to stay at Grand California, but so glad we didn’t. This hotel was about half the price, but included all the perks at Grand California. Out hotel key got us into Grand California and we were also able to use the direct entrance to California Adventure. We had a character breakfast at Storytellers Cafe and then the entrance to California Adventure was just a few steps away. We also accessed Downtown Disney and Disneyland park through the Grand California. It was just a short walk across the street from Paradise Pier. We had a 4- year old and a senior with a mobility scooter in our party. There was plenty of space for the mobility scooter in our 2 queen room, which also had a trundle bed/sofa. Our room had a view of the parking lot, but that was fine.
Excellent stay! Of the 3 Disneyland resorts, Paradise Pier has always been my kids’ favorite because we love the view of California Adventure. (Yes, it’s worth the upgrade for the premium view!) I was worried with the reviews about construction, but not once were we bothered. The regular elevators are back open, and the hotel felt much less busy than in the past, so we never waited for an elevator. I believe they’ve begun renovating some of the rooms because half of floor 14 and floor 15 were closed. The new lobby is BEAUTIFUL, and we can’t wait to see what looks to be a cafe/quick service pastry area open next visit. For now, the self-serve market fit our needs, and although pricey, a few Downtown Disney restaurants will deliver free to the lobby if you don’t feel like going out. We loved the new gift shop featuring Pixar items. The pool area looks almost complete, but they still have a lot of work to do on the rest of the rooftop deck. The Pixar ball pillows on the beds are super cute, so we’re anxious to see the new rooms. As always, the cast members were stellar. We were welcomed upon arrival and given excellent service upon check-in, including double-checking where all the guest laundry options were located at the Grand. (If you need to do laundry, see a cast member at the Grand, who will give you a key card for access.) There were always several cast members greeting us and available to address any questions or concerns. Our room was serviced every day by the time we returned for afternoon breaks from the parks. As someone who has stayed at several resorts near Disneyland (on and off property), this one will continue to be our favorite because of the park view, proximity to the magic, and the incredible cast. Don’t let the construction scare you away!
Saw everyone at California holding certain beers, and was curious on where to find them. Was able to find the stand and decided to give it a try. They have different types of beer and also a Michelada that I didn’t immediately see on the menu, but they have it.I decided to try the Michelada, but it seemed to be more sour then the places I get this. I would like to also note that I didn’t get a choice of beer, although the next person that ordered after me, the person ringing me up asked them if they were ok with a certain beer that they normally have. I would at least like to have been asked.Just make sure if you were to order this drink, and you have a beer in mind, to let them know.
Great place to grab a beer and pretzel. This beer stand is typically less busy vs. Other locations in the park. There is a option to order via app so you can avoid standing in line. I noticed the selection of drinks offered at this stand is slightly different than other locations.
