Chefesito and the servers were amazing! I don't know what he did but the food tasted 1000% better than the other times I've been here. The food was well seasoned and the show he gave was great! I will definitely be coming back and will try my best to make out reservations with him!

I really enjoy coming to celebrate birthday at Benihana. This time was not so pleasant. They pushed our reservation to 45 min longer . So we decided to wait it out in the bar area. We order drinks and appetizers mean while . Had I known the appetizers would take 40 min also I would not have order anything. Also I really think they should wait until you eat some of your food before they bring out take home boxes I felt so rush . Thank you

Okay everyone stop what you're doing, listen up! I have been going to Benihana's now for 45 years on my birthday and throughout the year every year with my entire family and friends. This benihana on Ball Rd. in Anaheim is by far the most fun and exciting restaurant in Orange County. The minute I came in even though the place was busy with reservations, I was greeted like family. Everyone was happy and smiling, we sat at the table and had the most incredible show on Earth! A super fun trained chef greeted us with a smile and put on a sous chef show that kept us mesmerized. I and our family ordered all different types of dishes mine was salmon cooked to perfection. The servers, management and busboys were absolutely so much fun. For my birthday I was served incredible portions and I took some home as well. The whole experience was mind-blowing and the food was incredibly delicious. They are part of my family and I enjoy going there as a family tradition every year and throughout the year as well for all special occasions. I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful restaurant you need to come and experience it for yourself you will never forget. Enjoy and let them know Alexa sent you! Have fun and take lots of pictures it will be a memory you'll never forget! By the way the drinks are amazing and well priced! XOXOX

We had a reservation and were seated about 40 minutes late because they were busy. The restaurant was very crowded and loud even in the dining area. The food was good and inspite of this experience we will be back. This is our favorite Benihana location.

We went for father in laws 80th bday. The food was prepared by Mark"Pollo" and it was excellent. Service was great. Only complaint would be it was a little more smokey for some reason.

This Benihanas location is the best one. Veronica (manager) is so friendly and helpful. She always greets us with a beautiful smile, and helps us make our reservations for all family celebration dinners. We have a granddaughter with anaphylactic allergies and Veronica makes sure that we get a chef that is very experienced and can keep her safe. Kevin is our Chef. He is so careful when cooking for Emma. She loves him. We recently started going to the new power lunch. Chef Ivan and Chef “Pollo” cook for us at the power lunch. Amanda is our favorite server.

Pretty good food! 6.5/10. Got the $39 menu. Little bit cold for the rice & meats. Our reservation was for 7:45, we waited for 35 mins post our reservation time and still didn't get to sit in the tables where they cook in front of you, we were told there would be maybe 35 more mins still even!! So, we sat in the lounge. Super sad as my family was here from Canada to celebrate my birthday, but we didn't have the best experience... For overall just okay food, and poor wait times, I don't think I would go back. This was 9/10 of my guests first time here too.
The wait time was horrible over two hours to eat, not even offering us any type of composition for our time. Just horrible service.

I recently visited Benihana and had a mixed experience. **Pros:** Booking online was easy, and they were very flexible when we needed to change our reservation, which I appreciated. Once our chef arrived, he was clearly skilled and put on a good show. **Cons:** Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed very short-staffed. We waited over an hour before our chef came to the table, which really affected the overall experience. The appetizers were undercooked, and the food portions were surprisingly small—our entire table had to split a single zucchini, which felt unreasonable for the price. Overall, Benihana has potential and some strong points, but the long wait times, food quality issues, and portion sizes made it disappointing this time around. We paid 100$ per person and the experience did not match that.

I believe restaurants of this caliber should place a high value on respecting their guests’ time—especially when reservations are involved. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case during our visit.
We had a reservation for 8:30 PM and our full party arrived at 8:22 PM, yet we were not seated until 9:10 PM. When we asked about the wait, the staff couldn’t provide any clear timeframe. Taking reservations feels meaningless if they aren’t honored or properly managed. What made this more disappointing is that there was no effort to acknowledge the delay—no complimentary drinks or gesture of goodwill, which is usually standard for establishments at this level.
The only reason I didn’t rate this lower is because of Chef Josue. He was incredibly entertaining, lively, and truly elevated the experience once we were finally seated. His performance and energy were the highlight of the evening.
Benihana is known for both its dining experience and hospitality, and I hope future guests won’t have to deal with the same lack of consideration for their time.
