We discovered this place upon leaving another restaurant due to lack of parking on a street sweeping day. We drove around and gave this place a try. It’s a humble location but once we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised with the service. The servers were very nice. Coffee was smooth and food was even tastier. We went for the Mexican Breakfast menu and it was a whole lot of food. Servers were friendly. We will go back again.

It is very disappointing to say this will be the last time I will make any effort to come here. It's been 5+ years I've been coming here and would consider to be a loyal customer. Living in the Pasadena area, driving all the way here says a lot. Unfortunately this past experience was truly disappointing. We were basically rushed out and was given a rude exit out. The gentleman running the show at that time said to us how people have been waiting and then said to other customers as we left apologizing for the wait and how people take advantage of their time at the table. Rude and disrespectful to us who have been coming here for years. I have NEVER been treated like in this at a family restaurant and needless to say the name of the restaurant is Family Country Cafe and it's not so "family." A restaurant should never shut/rush out any customers no matter how long they stay. Never again will this place be on my recommendation list to others.

So happy this place extended their hours to be opened a few evenings. We live super close and ordered the burger and it was bomb! I am sure the nearby bar crowd is happy as the food is great to go as well as eat in. I highly recommend this little gem.

Food - 5/5, super solid and consistent breakfast foods with Mexican influences. Service - 5/5, she was the only server but she made sure all our needs were met. Atmosphere - 5/5, just a cozy family diner. Came here after a night-out with my friend and it was one of our better ideas considering the night we had. I went for the country fried steak and my friend got the traditional breakfast place with sausage and then a menudo for us to share. I liked that their country fried steak is pounded out super thin. It made it extra crispy and didn't get soggy quickly under the gravy. The menudo was sooo good. The meat to soup ratio was substantial so we definitely worth it. The broth was just right for you to enhance it with limon or chili flakes to your preference. Our server was extra sweet and warm. We came there towards the end of the shift and she greeted us like we were her first customers of the day. The place is not very large, maybe a total of 10 booths/tables so if there is a wait, know that that's what you're working with inside. We were seated immediately, but I would not mind waiting for a seat here if I were looking for a solid brunch spot. Did not disappoint!

Great spot for simple, traditional breakfast in Anaheim/DLand area. Friendly owner (proudly Latinx owned!) and attentive staff welcome and serve regulars and visitors with equal warmth and hospitality. Food quality was fresh, plentiful and delicious! While it's obvious this business is well established and has been around awhile, everything is kept clean, tidy and comfortable. We will definitely be back when we return to the Anaheim area. Cheers!
