A rude rude manager, Jocelyn, very unprofessional! She dared me to report the boss and say oh... He'd love to hear from you. She challanged me to report her bad behaviour to her boss. She obviously doesn't give a bullcrap about the business. Agree with Dave, the 2 employees will drive the business down. The cashier that took my order made a mistake of putting in my order. After 25min of wait, she called me and said "oh..Sorry I made a mistake putting your order in and now we sold out on your order" Took her 25min to realize her mistake? At least she was apologetic while explaining herself. Then this EXTREMELY RUDE manager jumped in the middle of our conversation and said "well we are out of what you order" with attitude. Wtf is that!!! And she holds a title for "manager" c'mon..... Heck ya I was upset! Then... As I received my refund and walked away dissapointed, I saw her laughing and smirking with the cashier. She couldn't wait until I walk a little further? As a manager, she should've apologize, over a refund or replace my order with something else. Make a suggestion. Common sense in the service industry, Joselynn the manager.

What had happened to the original Cross roast on S Magnolia st? They moved to this new location and the food went down hill!! We do not have options to pick and choose what type of toppings we want!! The food was cold and the tasted was mediocre. I'm sorry but if you are a business owner, you need to read and you need to change When one person complained, it must be his problem. However, when more than one complained, you need to take a step back and reevaluate it.

So far this place gets 1 star only because I have to give it something..... The two employees are killing business today. The employees are too wrapped up in their gossip and the one in the brown t-shirt is constantly texting/using phone. We looked at menu stood at counter, she looked at us while texting and didn't put the phone down to help us. We walked away and ate somewhere else. As we ate we saw the same activity from the two of them. I would be pissed if it was my business.

Coss Roast is located in the Anaheim Packing District downstairs near the center where the tables are located. It's nice to walk around a get different food items from all the food establishments. At Cross Roast, I wanted to try the buns. I ordered the brisket and pork belly buns at $4.50pp. The bun could have been more chewy and was a lil dry for my taste but the meats were delicious and tender! Overall we I enjoyed them and look forward to trying the other items on the menu next time.

I used to love this place!! Came back today and realized they don't have the corn side dish AND NO DUCKS!!!!! Whatttttttt????? Insert crying face emoji please!!! And the chipotle slaw was so so as well. Although the pork belly was still on point.

We had dinner at the Anaheim Packing District and was excited to try the pork belly from the cross roast. I boldly asked another diner to see where they got their scrumptious looking food trays and was pointed toward the bottom of the stairs leading to this place. I originally wanted the roasted pork belly but was told they were out so settled for the char siu pork belly and low and behold, you get yourself a nice plate of fat over a measly bed of greens and rice. There was maybe a strip of actual meat which was disappointing to say the least. The side Mac and cheese was also dry and looked old. The saving grace was the pork bun which was actually soft and flavorful. The service was fair. I'm just sad that I didn't get what I hoped for out of this place.

As an avid OG cross roast fan, I was deeply saddened the restaurant closed down its original location. It was my post work, post gym, post long day of school spot. I loved it, there was simply nothing like it! The quality, the customability, and the premium meats.. it was the asain chipotle 2.0. Though I was disappointed they were closing down, I was hopeful for the new opportunity at the packing house. I knew I could still get my hands on a bowl. After trying this location last month & letting it sink in I am here to tell my truth. I was for one, taken back at how I could not build my own bowl. The menu was completely different and I was left with only few options on what to select from. At the old cross roast I was able to add a plethora of various toppings such as cucumber, carrots, onions, cilantros, you name it they have it ! At this location it was preset so you only get to pick the toppings you don't want. Let's get to the food. It was Ight. The quality of the meat was cool. The presentation was hella typical packing house in a box. The toppings were sub par. Idk I was kinda sad. I ate the whole thing but left feeling depressed like my prodigal son came home but changed. It did not taste the same and my experience with this franchise took a sharp turn down a black road. Cross roast if you're reading this, the secret sauce was the customability & how customers were able to put together a bowl with different meats and toppings for their liking. I love you guys & hope theirs change to come in the near future.

SO GOOD. I think this is perfect for a place like the packing house. They have so many tasty options for meat and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I got the char siu pork and it was sooooo good! It also came with a side of tortilla chips. I also got the watermelon Fresca and it was sooooo refreshing. I recommend trying this place out if you haven't yet!

I have been going to the storefront and L O V E D it ever since. Unfortunately they closed so that they could focus on this store which is understandable. I have always gotten the char siu signature bowl so I figured let's see how it's like here. It was a little disappointing compared to their storefront. The meat was alright, the toppings which makes it the signature bowl, was the bummer. This concept is Cantonese based, yet our bowl had pasta salad with it which was weird. Typically, our stride front bowls came with pickled carrots, corn, lime, cilantro, pickled lettuce, pickles, bamboo, and jalapeí±os. The packing district one came with half of those. I understand maybe they are trying to cater to what more people are used to and I get that. I feel like they should stick to what is traditional for them and have people just get accustom to it. I personally thought all of those Asian styles vegetables made the dish so much better. I do hope the owner sees this because I would like you to know that your food and concept is amazing!! The first time I had it I thought it was incredible. Please please bring back a storefront with the same quality even if it's just a small storefront!!

Wonderfully roasted pork belly. But I have to take a star off for running out of a lot of things right at noon.

I loved the cross roast in Anaheim (not in the packing district) but since it was there, I decided to give it a try. I got the pork belly, brisket, slaw, and Asian Mac salad. I do not recommend the Mac salad, it's not very good it was kind of bland and did not have a lot of flavor. This law was a good choice because the pork belly was extremely fatty and left a feeling of oil in my mouth that I did not really like. The brisket was good though and had a nice crust to it and so did the pork belly. I do enjoy cross roast and will probably come back for their bowls. I don't recommend just their meat with their slaw.

Oh No

Used to be Fantastic when they were on Magnolia Ave now it is just terrible.

This was our lunch spot of choice, after making quite a few passes and reading almost every menu within the Packing District's confines. My husband saw a couple other people walking around with "boxes of meat", as he called them, so we decided to give it a try ourselves. I wasn't exactly starving, so I went with the Char Siu Pork Signature Bowl, served over Ginger Rice. My husband couldn't make up his mind, so ended up ordering the Two Meats tray, with Beef Brisket and Pork Belly. We also each picked up an agua fresca - watermelon for him, pineapple for me - to wash everything down. Both of our meals came with sauces - one really excellent chili oil and another that I was never quite able to place, so didn't use. The Char Siu pork was a bit dry and light on flavor, which was disappointing. But the flavor got a huge boost from the afore-mentioned chili oil. I think that may be my favorite version of chili oil. I removed most of the jalapeno slices from the plate - it seemed like overkill to have so many on such a small plate. The ginger rice didn't taste or smell of ginger, either. My husband, meanwhile, struggled to get through the sheer amount of meat in front of him. He said that both meats were cooked really well, and made me sample some of the pork skin off of the belly. It was crunchy and delightful, I admit. In the end, neither of us were able to finish our meals - me, because the meat was dry, him because it was way too much food for him.
