My family loves this restaurant. We usually only come for breakfast on the weekends and sometimes they dont have stuff that's on the menu which can be annoying at most, but they always have delicious food to offer. Sometimes we order ahead to pick up barbacoa and we only have to wait like 10 minutes once we're there to pick up. Never really had a bad customer service experience here so to me because of that and their amazing food, it's a great hole in the wall restaurant for delicious home cooked meals.

Fui y ya no existe! Molesta que no actualicen su cuenta! Si ya no están cierren la cuenta o pongan la información actual! Por Favor! Ahora es Fuego de Maíz o algo así.

Wonderful service, the good is great, I love eating their machetitos, highly recommendable. Las aguas frescas are delicious. Overall, a great experience.

Took a while for the order to get done but the wife said it was worth the wait time. Coming back for more.

So this is an update of previous review, which I have to apologize was a one star. I have to admit that the service was great, the cashier/waitress/kitchen assistant was very attentive and even came to our table to ask if we needed anything else. Unheard of in what I would consider a fast food establishment. Anyway, I tried the 19" machete, yes a 19" taco. All one tortilla, not a bunch of glued or stuck tortillas like other places that do that with tacos and burritos. I had the al pastor. It was good, the taste of the meat, cheese, cream and lettuce all came together. I have to say, there was a little to much fat and nerve endings in the meat for my own personal liking, but not as much as other places. The tortilla was not bad , it held together, although a little hard to cut, but I can see why, if it was thinner it the taco would more than likely break apart and you would have to eat a taco with a fork and knife. BTW, they also have a 29" machete taco. As a novelty for a machete, I can see recommending this place, as a regular taco place, not so sure. It is good to see and eat and give something to talk about. If you think about it, with the size of the machetito and price, i think you are better off getting 4 of their tacos, you will more than likely get about the same about of meet, minus the lettuce, cheese and cream, but you will get more tortilla as they double up on their smaller tacos. Personally, if I come here again, I will order 3-4 of their regular tacos vs the machetito. I think in short, this place maybe was an average taco place that offers what you would expect from a small eatery, tacos, burritos, echiladas, taquitos, etc. Again, the extra star was for the service and flavor.

Had always been curious about this place and I was very surprised that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant isn't more well known. Seems to have recently been remodeled, looks fresh. Hubby ordered the full size machete with 4 meats of his choosing. I went with the huarache. Dang. I already knew the machete would be big (it was 29", says so on the menu) but that huarache was just as impressive! (See photo). Excellent salsa, cesina, and grilled onions...everything about it was tasty! I didn't even finish half of it! Super large portion (which was good). We will definitely come again...this time to try the taquitos, sopes, and burrito mojado.

Really good machetes tacos here. I really like the Chicharron. The are great for parties and potlucks. When I go in or call an order the staff is always friendly and helpful (I'm not hispanic, but they always explain something on the menu that I don't understand). Just a head up their new number is (714) 917-9574. The one on Yelp and google is their old number.

The food is delicious. I had flautas and a machetito de pollo. A party of 3 comfortably shared both dishes and were satisfied. The agua fresca de Piña was very good. We went on a hot day and the inside of the restaurant was very hot (no air conditioning, no fans). But the food still made our visit worth while.

This is a family run restaurant/ small business. When you come here to eat, you are family. The owner is in the kitchen, and on weekends, the kids are working the register and helping out. The food here is excellent. This is my 3rd visit and we have never gone wrong with what we picked. The machetes are THE BOMB. Definite to leave you satisfied!!!

The machete is amazing. This place deserves 5 stars for the following excellent points. A star for service, a star for the machete, a star for the tastiness and size, a star for the salsas, and a star for the Mexican coke that tastes like glory when all these are combined. Will be back!

I had high expectations. My wife and I decided to try the infamous machete quesadilla. I ordered half hongos with tinga and azada with chorizo. As we sat in my car waiting for my order, after 10 minutes I noticed no cooks making my order. My wife went in and asked if the cooks were in the back cooking because we're waiting and I don't see any cooks cooking our order.... the lady said, "oh my God, la other mesera never told us we had an order", she quickly began cooking it. We waited another 15 minutes. When we got home the mixture was incorrect. The half choices were wrong. I had mushrooms with the asada and tinga had cheese and it wasn't half and half. It was 3/4 wanba be asada and 1/4 tinga. Their mistake will cost them us not returning. The tinga did taste good and mushrooms.
